What is the status of your Droid X order

Called and spoke to a rep who informed me that my NE2 isn't until tomorrow, even though by logging into my account via VZW.com it shows I'm eligible today.

He also said that the phone isn't released until tomorrow, and thus could not be sold until than.

Who knows...

Just placed order !

I called the normal sales number 1-800-256-4646 and they accepted a "pre-order" for the X. Rep said they are accepting pre-orders today, placing the actual order tomorrow and shipping tomorrow (Thursday) via Fed-Ex overnight and it would be received on Friday by 3PM. They will send me the order number and FedEx tracking number on Thursday via email.

She initially said the $100 instant rebate is not available on phone orders, but she did give it to me when I requested it.

They are offering a discount on accessories when you order 2 or more. She was not sure of the % amount but will let me know once the order is placed. She thought it was 33% off for 2 accessories and 50% off when you order 3 accessories.

Finally, she gave me her name and direct extension in case I have any questions.

Overall, it was a great ordering experience.

My NE2 was 2 weeks ago so I waited because the CSR @ a Verizon store told me to wait until tomorrow to get the X. Well, I can't pay the MIR, so I need a IR, & + I have a NE@ available. I wonder how much the X will cost with all of that?

Mine came out to $150 after my $50 NE2, + Tax. Was not able to get car dock and stuff for free. Did not even offer car dock at all. Did offer some crazy bundle with dual USB car charger, case, and memory key for like %50 off. Good luck.

Buy in-store tomorrow - $299 + sales tax (ex: 5%) - $50 or $100 NE2 credit = $264.98 or $214.98.

Edit: These prices do not include the $100 MIR you will EVENTUALLY receive...

Just depends on your state's sales tax and how much you get for a NE2 credit.

Yeah I guess so, since she is on the East Coast, 9:00 AM my time would be 12:00 AM her time.. So I guess to confirm the pre-order & to give me tracking info. Fingers crossed for overnight shipping.

When I pre-ordered the original Storm over the phone the day before, the nice lady assured me that she would place the order the moment she got into work. Unfortunately, she never told me that she was off the next day.

Do what you want, but I'll place my own order at midnight. These CSR's that are you are talking to today have to go home at some point, and I doubt they'll be back to work at midnight.

you make a good point. i was just reading on androidforums that the reps are essentially taking your information down and then placing the order the next day when they get into work. since they work normal business hours, i have a feeling they are going to be slammed with phone calls. hopefully those that called in today will get their orders placed in time for overnight shipping.

As Long as I get it on Friday I dont care how I ordered it. I have someone meeting me friday night at 7 to buy my DINC. Of course I could also go to a regular phone and just wait it out, but I will still be pissy about it.... Why couldnt Verizon just let us Preorder like they did for the DINC? i liked having it a couple days before everyone else.

just wanted to let everyone know that i was able to order my dx 5 min ago from verizon directly over the phone with no problem. she told me that they were allowed as of today, to start placing orders to be shipped out tomorrow morning and will arrive friday before 3pm. she will send me a email tomorrow with the tracking number. also they will tell you that you cant get an instand 100 rebate over the phone, but i said that i wanted to cancel the order cuz i knew i could wait a day and get it instantly online, so she said ok and did it. the number to call is 8002564646. its the direct verizon wireless SALES department and not the CS department. they will also tell you it will ship 2-3 days. ask about overnight shipping. they will tell you its 8 dollars but if you tell them you know its free online they will do it for free. hope this helps.

With all of this; phone 199 (Instant Rebate so no Mail In Rebate) - 50$ NE2 credit - 80$ in my bank account, so my mom would only pay, 70$ which I could easily pay off by selling my Tour. & I dont NEED overnight shipping, but it would be AWESOME if Verizon gave it to me for free. I still didnt get any free car dock & case offers.

The thing I dont understand is why is nobody just going into the store tomorrow morning and buying it? If everyone's so excited why wait an extra day...maybe two...

I figure if I go in tomorrow morning, buy the phone, get 100 dollars off for NE2, then charge the phone to my bill. Then send in my MIR on Friday. So when i get my phone bill in mid-august, I'll be about to get my MIR money, so really its just like an instant rebate and I dont have to wait until Friday...

O...and if your that hard pressed over 100 or 200 dollars...you shouldnt be worried about a phone...you should be worried about rent or feeding your baby or taking your girlfriend out to dinner lol
