What is this stop symbol in the top tray?

I upgraded to lollipop a week ago. Today for the first a stop symbol/do not enter symbol appeared in the top tray. When I pull down to see what it means, nothing shows up. I tried turning the phone off and back on, but its still there. See image below:

You're in Downtime, check under Notifications / Interruptions.

Press the volume rocker. You should see " None / Priority / All" below the volume slider, and "None" should be highlighted. Press "All" to get rid of the stop icon.

THANK YOU! How do I get out of it?! My alarm didn't go off this morning, I'm listening to radio so when I turn it up or down it just turns the volume up and down! HOW do I just GET to the volume control?! I'm SO SICK of Android acting like and iPhone! If I wanted no features I'd be an iPhone person!!!!!!! WHY do they keep taking features AWAY?! Like volume? Who takes away an easy VOLUME access?! I'm not an *****, I shouldn't have to search the internet for help on finding the volume control while my radio is in use =/

You should be able to hit the volume up/down key twice to get to the volume control. That's how it works on MM, anyway.
