What phone are you ditching to get the Note 4? Why?

N5 because it recently went swimming and I need a replacement phone ASAP. Unless more info is released about the new Nexus soon!

I would love to get the Note 4 but I'm quite happy with my G3! Actually, I'm very happy with it! LG has me for now unless they screw up the G4. Then I'll see if I make my way back to Samsung. Note 4 will be a sweet device so whoever gets it, enjoy!

Im tempted to give up my G3 to get the Note 4. I had the Note 3 and loved it, was a good device. I love the G3 as well but having quite a few flaws with it such as the screen being a little dull and also the constant overheating. I think the 805 processor will do some good for the QHD on the Note 4.

I'll be handing down my Note 3 for the Note 4 and will probably trade in an S3 on the $200 trade in program.

The why part of this was mostly for some of the new S Pen features, but after my trip to Best Buy today, the amazing display and camera are high up on the list as well. If you haven't seen this beast for yourself, you should. Screen is just amazing.

Iphone 5c. I swore I'd never get an iPhone. Had the original Samsung Fascinate and the Google nexus. After 18 months the nexus barely worked. Couldn't text, make calls, send a picture without rebooting 100 times and the battery life at the end was horrible. Even with a new battery. I wasn't due for an update but Verizon did an early upgrade and a free 5c promotion. I really miss widgets and customizing the phone. So bored with looking at a bunch of boxes. Really miss a calendar widget, Facebook widget, etc etc. I was so excited that the new ios 8 would have widgets and the 6 plus was huge. Went to best buy to see it in person and was so underwhelmed, same phone just bigger. Plus the iPhone widgets are nonwidgets and useless. Looked at the Note 4 and was in love. I'm even excited to use the pen to write my grocery list! Going to switch to T-Mobile and do the contract buyout and sell the 5cs. My 13 year old is sticking with getting an iPhone 6 so I'll still try it. Middle school is ruined if you don't have an iPhone. Lol.

Moto X (2013). I was going to get the Moto X 2014 but since it is a 5.2 inch screen I just decided to say screw it on fitting into my hand and get the Note. Really excited about the swapping batteries and SD card capacities of this phone.

I've had almost every Samsung device since the S1 (Vibrant). I always say im sick of Samsung, but always get their latest phone. After years of only owning Samsung, I finally said screw it and bought the g3. Within a month I realized that Samsung is the leader in Android phones and I wanted to go back. Especially with the new metal frame, Samsung will always (in my eyes) be the premium Android phone manufacturer. My only complaint is that they need to figure out how to avoid the non-uniform colors on their screens.

It's interesting to see so many that held onto their S3! I wish I had held onto mine longer. I bought a BlackBerry Z10 when it came out and traded my S3 for an iPod Touch 5th gen. I didn't like it and traded it for a Nexus 4 and sold my Z10 after only 4 months for nearly half of what I bought it for! I wish I would've just kept the S3 since I lost money in all the trades!

Might use my backup S3 to trade in for the N4, currently using an S5 but had an G3 for a week and liked it, just something different that the Sammy UI.

I'm giving my Note 3 to a family member. The Note 3 has started to irritate me some with some of the issues I've had (GPS positioning on Google Maps that doesn't point in the direction I'm traveling, screen sensitivity that can be frustrating at times--tapping an icon, the phone thinks I'm swiping left or right, predictive text that is crazy inaccurate for some common words, and other small gripes). I'm going to give Samsung another chance, but since I'm using a family member's upgrade (they owe me since I used my upgrade to replace a phone they lost) I'll have my own upgrade available to me in a year if I decide I need to get off of Samsung.

Reason I kept my S3 for so long is the 2 yr subsidized upgrade cycle but I will say I've been pretty much completely satisfied with it. I was thinking today how much of an upgrade my S1 was over the Windows phone I had previous to it and how much of an upgrade the S3 was over the S1. I think the Note 4 will be as big an upgrade over the S3 and am eagerly looking forward to getting it.

I am not "ditching" any phone. I am getting the Note 4 because it has improvements over my Note 3 which I want. The Note 3 I will use to run WAZE in my truck.

I'm also upgrading from the SIII. I was upgrade eligible last month. I have liked my SIII, but it's gotten temperamental and laggy over the past six months, so with planned obsolescence and all that, seems time to upgrade.looking forward to the Note.

My s3 is awesome. I ditched tw long ago and it has remained snappy Running various roms. Currently on cm11. I just can't pass up an upgrade. I have been up for one for 3 or 4 months now.

I'll be ditching a iPhone 4S for the Note 4.
My last "droid" device was the Motorola Droid X.
Can't wait for this phone to get here. :-)
