What phone are you ditching to get the Note 4? Why?

Coming from an S3. Seems like every phone is huge now. I figured why not try the biggest one out there. I have a feeling 4.6-4.8 is my sweet spot though.

Nexus 5.

As much as I love it, I miss being able to switch my battery and keep rolling throughout my day.

Moto X.

I love the Moto X. It's a wonderful phone but I came from a GN2 and I miss the larger real estate and the S-Pen.

I am ditching my BlackBerry Z10, need I say more? :)

To be honest I though BlackBerry would excel forwards past the competition with their new devices but they haven't, in fact they seem comfortable in keeping the 1% of the worlds smartphone market that has a QWERTY keyboard device. Good for them but they won't turn any heads with this kind of business thinking. :)

I need a change so I am going for the Note 4.

HTC One M8. I only got this phone a couple months ago, and I still *really* like it...but I'm switching for a few reasons:

1. I hear the Note series has amazing battery life, and the 30 minutes to 50% thing is really promising.
2. Looking forward to the brilliant and large screen
3. All of the S Pen functionality
4. I kinda miss the Sammy gimmicks.

I can't use my JUMP upgrade again until January, and that's fine by me if the rumor that price is going to drop drastically 3 months after release has any truth to it. I'm just glad that if I have to be "stuck" for awhile, it's with another sweet phone.

I am coming from HTC One X (AT&T).... been hanging on to this phone for too long... It's a very nice phone but way past its prime... Can't wait to get my hands on the new GN4... Pre-ordered already via company website with AT&T.

Ditching the Note 3 before that had the Note 2.

Ditching my nexus 5 for it. It's a great phone but I want a bigger screen, s pen, bigger battery, and better camera.

I am switching to the note 4 from the iPhone 5s. I pre ordered the iphone 6 plus but sprint was having problems ordering it. Which ended up being a good thing because I decided I missed android. I have had the htc hero then the htc evo 3d then the Galaxy s3 then the iphone 5 and the iPhone 5s. So I have given both ios and android a try.

Haha yeah, that's a pretty self explanatory upgrade. You're going to be amazed coming from the s3. I have a slight addiction, lol, so since the s3 I've gone to the s4-htc one-note 3-s5-g3

Yeah I went from the s3 to the HTC One, Note 3, Moto X, G2, Nexus 5, HTC M8, Oneplus One, and now the S5 active.

Yes I'm going to use you guys as examples when my family calls me crazy for changing phones so much! Hhaha

I went from Evo 4G LTE, iPhone 5, Nexus 4, Sony Xperia Z, HTC ONE, LG G2, Sony Xperia Z1, Nexus 5, LG G3, Nexus 5.

So anyways changing from G3 really, sold it couple weeks ago for the Note 4. Right now I'm borrowing my brothers n5 until it releases. I still love the G3, I never had any lag or overheating issues. I will definitely miss the back buttons, knock on, but never tried the note series before so I decided to try it. Also love the metal sides and with qHD screen definitely need to give it a try. Oh and I dislike Samsung so not sure why I chose Note lol

I am switching from an S4. Not exactly 'ditching' it, because the S4 is fine. I will pass it on to my wife or daughter, likely.
I really wanted water resistant, as I use mine as a GPS on my motorcycle handlebar. The water resistant S5 is totally ruled out by the 16gb internal storage for my maps. (the maps don't work well on the extSD card. Don't get me started on that)
I have compared the S4, S5, LG G3 and Note 3 screens multiple times, in full sunlight. The Note 3 wins every time. The Note 4 is said to be even better.
Plus, I used to actually like using a stylus years back on Windows PPC and such resistive screen devices. I use one often on my Surface tablet. So I am looking forward to the stylus on the Note.
I'm a bit worried about the size, and trying to carry it. But I use a belt clip most of the time anyway, so it should be a non-issue.

Waiting, and waiting......

S5 Active. I've pre-ordered the Note 4 but I really am liking this S5 Active because it is built like a tank and can take a beating. More than likely I'll be passing it on to my daughter because she can be pretty rough with phones. She got my Note 2 when I moved along from that phone.

Passing on the S4 Google Play Edition..... Been a great phone so far and love the pure Google experience and the fast updates, but on these phones this powerful I kind of miss all of the gizmos and many of the basic features of the galaxy branded devices such as the camera, spen, etc.

Coming from a jailbroken iPhone 4 which has been great for 4 years but what I saw of the iPhone6 looked like just more of the same, ready to try something different, Note 4 multitasking and stylus won me over, will be my first Android phone.

You'll be like a kid on Christmas finding and playing with all the features Android has. Especially getting a Note for your first Android phone--you're starting out at the top.
