What phone are you switching from to the Pixel 2?

I have an original pixel. The generous trade-in value that Google is giving really push me over the edge and I decided to upgrade to the XL.

Wow, only counted 3 HTC 10 switchers. Must be to nice to switch from, LOL. Actually my 10 is rock solid and going strong so won't be switching yet but I would like to down the road at some point. The smaller P2 really sounds good to me. Also HTC made, a plus IMO.

I'm keeping my 10 for a while, because it's a Verizon phone. I had a small issue getting a sim for my Google Store Pixel xl (thanks to the nerd phone rep who was able to bypass the system for me), so I'm keeping it for a while, just in case.

Galaxy S7. I don't need to upgrade but want to. I can't stand the speaker, Verizon bloat, Samsung bloat, and a few other items on my S7.

Iphone 7 plus. Had pixel XL for about 6 months then iphone, now back to googles android. I miss google assistant and that software. Got XL 2 coming oct 25 purchased from verizon

coming from an nexus 6 I loved the front speakers, 64gbs of space, updates, big screen, amazing camera (exception of extreme lag & uselessness of attempting to use snapchat...) but no issues with the phone for 3 years had it in an otter box type case and took it out one night and threw it 50ft like a Frisbee on concrete. I believe it was when the original pixel came out and other than a nasty dent on one corner is still working like a champ! Anyways I hope the Pixel XL2 will last for three years and is a performance update! I also use wireless headphones probably hours out of a week so I'm pretty stoked to try them out with it!!

Nexus 6 since it was released. No problems at all with it other than some screen burn-in and the phone causes some newer games to slow down

Upgrading from a Nexus 4 bought at launch. I'm so excited, last night I actually dreamt I had my Kinda Blue Pixel 2 in-hand.

wow thats insane(5 years).. I used nexus 4 for 3 years before i replaced it with 6p.
I skipped N6 because it was huge and expensive at that time for a nexus.
The last year of Nexus 4 was really difficult. battery was fine but the software was slow and camera was bad for that time.

iPhone 6s+ to the XL....battery life is horrible now with iOS 11 and I can I say for the first time in ages I really don’t like iOS 11 it’s just blah. Last Android phone was S6 edge, but it always over heated and lagged! Hears hoping this phone lives up to the hype the original did. I was thinking of the note 8, but too big and don’t care for the FPS location.

My 10 is still good, battery is losing a little, but not sure if I need to do a factory reset or if it's just because I'm on these forums so much right now 8-) But decided to make the switch anyway, if I don't like it, can rewritten it and still have my 10 to go back to

Upgrading from a Pixel XL.

I've tried all sorts of flagship phones over the years, here's a list:

iPhone 3GS
iPhone 4
Galaxy S
Galaxy S2
Galaxy Note
Galaxy S3
LG Optimus G
HTC One
Nexus 4
HTC One M8
Galaxy Note 3
Xperia Z1
Nexus 5
Galaxy S6
LG G4
Nexus 6P
HTC 10
Galaxy Note 7
Pixel XL

I think that's all of them in the order I got them in, but after owning the Pixel XL last year, I've settled on the Pixel line of phones and don't see myself moving to a different OEM. Never before have I gone a whole year without swapping a phone out until this year. Love the Pixel's performance, love the software and knowing that I'll get updates immediately.

Specifically for the Pixel 2 XL, I'm looking forward to the improved camera, water resistance and all the new AI stuff they've built into it. Getting the stormtrooper XL 64gb.
