I've never really liked the idea of smartphones, but lately I got interested into them. I don't care about budget till now, a good camera will help. So far, I've heard good reviews from HTC One, but it feels a little bit dark to me.

I recommend the Nexus 4. It's pure Android and it's easy to handle for newbies in my mind.

I asked this in the Android forum, so obviously I wouldn't be looking for iPhone.

I like iPhones and iOS, but I like a few things on android like the waterproof SGS 4 Active, or the built in USA Moto X. I also like Google as company overall, but I find that I cannot find a complete package with one android phone - there's a trade-off with each. I can list them, but I don't want to start a flame war (I tread lightly here). But I did make my second best suggestion, motoX. I'm really curious why iPhone isn't for the a first time user in your opinion - unless you're more tech wavy than average public.

Nexus 4, Galaxy note 3, LG G2.

Heard mostly good news about them.

Or the upcoming nexus 5.

This is the third times you asked for something he refuses to answer. I'm starting to think that you're an apple marketing.

Nope only second time so far... And I wish I was in Apple marketing - today would of been a huge payday. I know I must sound like a troll, I'm not trying to be.

The first question is which carrier are you going with - coverage in your local area is way more important than anything else.

Nexus 4, Moto X, HTC One Google Play Edition or regular variant, Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition or regular variant. The beautiful thing about the Nexus and Google play edition devices are that you won't experience the lag, frustration, or delayed updates most android users experience. The normal HTC One and the Moto X are also lag free. Off contract the Nexus 4 is cheapest though. Good luck!

Obviously, the HTC One, Galaxy S4, LG G2, or Motorola X are all of the latest greatest Android Devices, however, the Galaxy S3 is still available, cheaper, and a great place to start.
