Like everyone else I am anxiously awaiting the EVO, and it is friggin awesome, but with a physical keyboard, 32bit display, and wireless-N it would be mindblowingly orgasmic, don't ya think?

Yeah moving from the Pre to the EVO and having never even used Android, I'm starting to get nervous that I may miss webOS.

I personally dislike physical keyboards because they add bulk and moving parts, and I can use a virtual keyboard just as well. Especially on a 4.3" screen. :)

I'm cool without the physical keyboard. I had the pre before getting the hero (my first no physical keyboard phone) and am good to go without the keyboard. It would be nice however to have N built in instead of G for wifi. I'm somewhat disappointed in that fact...

Me, too. It's going to take a while to stop using gestures and try to toss cards off the top of the screen.

The guy who designed the webOS UI just left Palm for Google, so here's to hoping that Android 2.3 or 2.4 will get a nice coat of webOS paint over its Android heart.

As for what the EVO needs: an atomic fuel cell that never requires charging would be nice. That it could transform into a little robot that grabs iPhones and snap them in half would be cool, too.

How about a Hydrogen cell so when you drop your phone you take out a square block haha :) .. I really like the idea of a full touchscreen phone that is good, my last full touchscreen was the touch pro(1) ...What I would like for it to have most is the anti-scratch coating that is on the Iphone, or the same screen that is on the Dell Streak. :)

the evo needs that gorilla glass...especially with a 4.3 inch screen. Would be nice to not even need a screen protector.

Wouldn't be too good for me to have Terminator tech that touchy. It'd be better as an anti-theft device where if the phone is taken away from the registered biometric signature, it blows up.

INT. BAR -- NIGHT

A happy EVO 4G owner is enjoying an evening out. He turns back to the bar to get his EVO, but...

IT'S GONE!!!

He looks frantically on the floor and up and down the bar.

EVO GUY
Anyone seen my phone?

Confused looks from the crowd and shaken heads.

Suddenly we hear a BOOM!!! and the windows of the bar are illuminated by a BRILLIANT RED FLASH. The crowd GASPS.

EVO GUY
Nevermind. Found it.

Not sure if TEP would be happy about such a feature, though.

Your story gave me a good laugh

But hey if you smooth talk the sprint rep enough, just maybe he will let it slide :)

Um... because we don't know how it works. Its pretty confusing compared to WebOS. My main concern (having never used an Android device before) is how to switch from one application to another, how to know whats open, and how to get back to each one. I'm sure I'll figure out everything in a week, but from playing with the incredible for about 30 minutes at a VZW store I couldn't figure it out. Buttons ftl, I'm seriously going to miss my gesture area.

If you hold the Home button, you can see the last six apps you used, so you can easily switch between apps.

Basically you have a notification bar at the top of the screen. In that bar it should show icons of all the the apps running. You swipe down to open it up and it should list all of the apps running. Which ever app you would like to go to you use tap on it and it"ll open. Either that or you can hold down the home button and it should bring up your last 4 or 6 apps i believe if im wrong forgive me. Dont have my phone on me right now. But its pretty easy. I know with froyo 2.2 i think itll list your last 8 apps if you hold down the home screen.

Ok thanks for all the input I appreciate it. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. I was playing around with a friend's G1 and it was pretty clunky. It was so slow and laggy no wonder I couldn't figure anything out. I was mostly playing with live wallpapers and the web with the Incredible, didn't really try to do any multitasking.
