what was the fix for the TBolt battery issues?

Rooting your phone is a huge help in my opinion. Revolutionary rooting method makes it pretty easy also so why not. Cm7 rom with imoseyon kernel while running setcpu has shown great battery life with the TB stock battery. I run 4g all day and my phone lasts all day with moderate use (mostly texting and browsing). I pretty much got the same battery life when I was using the extended battery even. I'd love to upgrade to the rezound battery but as previously mentioned vzw reps are pretty much worthless and unfamiliar with any of their phones

Yup. When I was trying to get a replacement for my Motorola DROID. The rep kept referring to it as the original Android phone.

I'm with you on pushing everything but I don't get leaving 4G on in 3G only area? That's just wasting battery for no possible net gain.

Works well for me.

I use WiFi at work and at home. I am on the fringe of 4G and don't get it either place. Having WiFi on means the 3G and 4G radios are automatically disabled. Then, when I leave home or work, the 3G and possibly 4G come on and connect. All is well.
I did a lot of experimenting with 4G turned off, and NEVER saw any change in current draw or battery life.
So for me, what is the point of turning it off just so I have to fiddle with turning it on?

I'm amazed. Live and learn. Must of read 100 posts about 4g killing battery life.

It doesn't kill mine. In fact it has actually improved my battery life. I'm currently at 45 hours with 20% left on the standard 1400mAh battery. Thus why I firmly believe LTE itself is not a battery killer. It's more about signal strength and how hard the phone has to work to maintain a connection. :)

+100 on that.
What works in one location may be a killer in another.

I actually tried 3g only but it made no difference. PS this is my first post on 4g. I'm traveling today. Nice.
