whats going on with the auto correction?

when i type "ip" my S8+ puts "ok"
when i type "Jing" (my wifes name) it puts "king"
whem i type some other short words it puts an entire email address in

For whatever reason Samsung's autocorrect has always been weird for me. It gets better though if You stick with it and learns your typing habits. It just takes longer than other keyboards. I believe you can add words in the keyboard section. It used to be in the Language Input setting.

Yup. Type your word and tap it (just above the numbers). Next time you type it it will automatically enter.

There is no problem though...it just needs to learn a few words on occasion like I mentioned above.

Yep! Hate that with Samsung's keyboard. I use Swiftkey or Gboard. Curious, are you coming form iPhone?

I get what you're saying, but SwiftKey actually solves a whole bunch of other problems and shortcomings of the stock keyboard

Oh, hell - like better prediction (that actually learns from the vocabulary you use from your email account), more logical layout, multitude of customizations that make it more efficient, and on and on.
