What's happened to the copy to clipboard option in galaxy apps, and in playstore, it's no longer there!?!?

I note that they've changed where to look for 'share' now : top right of screen, 3 dots. Is that when it got removed 🤔

I used to find that option very useful when referring to a particular app. What the heck ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In both stores, tapping the three dot menu, it offers the share option, selecting share opens the share sheet with copy to clipboard as an option. Is that what you're missing?

Here are the two screens I get re share for playstore. Sending via phone so only one pic per post.

That's what mine used to look like too.

I've searched Settings to see if there is a clipboard option, thinking maybe i had to turn it on, but it's not a setting, it seems.

Wonder where the devil mine went to .... ??????

Okay, this is weird, copy to clipboard in both galaxy apps, and playstore, is present on my note 8.

So, why not my note 9?????

May be just a hiccup in the clipboard. Go to settings, apps, three dot menu select all apps and scroll down to clipboard. In my case I have three. Select them, tap storage and clear the app cache.

Too weird! I looked at all three of the clipboard apps, permissions and notifications were all 'on', storage was on for the one app, and i cleared the cache of all three. I re booted, and it still doesn't show up!

Lol, what a strange gremlin 🤷

Well you could always reboot into recovery and wipe the system cache and see if that clears it. Have you installed any new apps recently that may be suspect?

In the meantime, i've just downloaded Clipboard Actions from the playstore. It's a German dev, very highly rated and by donation.

I wiped the system cache about two ish weeks ago, because of battery drain, which ended up being cache issues in blackberry hub. So that's resolved.

And no new apps since i got this note 9, I don't think, apart from the clipboard app I just installed.

Is the native clipboard working, apart from not showing in your share options?

where do i find that?

And, you're not going to believe this, the clipboard app that i just installed, it doesn't show in playstore or galaxy apps either!!!

I've checked it's settings, they're as they should be, all on, and it doesn't come up as part of the share menu (head smack!!!)

Edit
clipboard is working in swiftkey

Edit 2
yes, native clip board is working - i use samsung messages app, and just copied a message to clipboard and successfully pasted it

To check your clipboard you can highlight some text with the Spen and select copy. You should see a pop up toast message saying it copied to the clipboard. You can activate the clipboard edge panel, if you don't already use it, to see what's on your clipboard. You can also access it within the Samsung keyboard.

Yes, tried with the Spen, and it works as it should.

You've got a note 9, haven't you?

So, recapping at this point, it seems that the problem is the 'share' menu, and not actions regarding clips.

And, in settings, apps, system apps, there isn't an app called samsung share, or share. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
