What's new in Android 4.4.1

Has there always been an option in the sound settings to switch between what music effects app you want to use? I've never noticed it before the update. But i could be wrong. And I probably am. Lol

I can't speak for Viper, but I still run 4.4, and I have a similar screen after I installed noozxoide.

Does 4.4.1 finally fix the weird random extra home screen that sometimes pops ups for no reason at all?

That's nothing to fix
That screen comes up when you install uninstall or move stuff around the home screen it disappears after a couple of minutes.

Only if the update includes an updated launcher, which I doubt.

It seems to appear randomly. The only way to get rid of it is to long press a home screen icon or widget and then the extra screen will disappear. The issue is, it randomly thinks I'm trying to add a new screen when I'm not.

What I mean is it wasn't reported as a bug but a feature or way the OS functioned.

Mmmmm I dont remember this working on 4.4. Using Google Now "listen to The Police (artist name)" before it would just launch the google player and sit there. Looks like now it acutally plays all the tracks from the artist!!! Also, i dont remember being able to use 3rd party player with Google Now.....I am able to use Player Pro......Awesome.....

EmailGoogle and Exchange2Google have been updated, and confirmed to fix the problem in setting up an EAS mail account (CamelCase bug with importing a cert, frakked in 4.4). EAS mail in the stock clien has been broken longer than it's been fixed since ICS, me thinks.

No change to Hangouts, darn it.

All I can say is that I haven't seen it appear so far in 4.4.1. So... maybe?

It never happened here yet. Maybe it's an easter egg you uncovered.

I've had that happen to me on 4.4, but only once. It fixed itself by doing something simple - can't remember exactly, but I do remember that it was something that kind of refreshed the screen. Hasn't happened yet on 4.4.1, but even if it did - I doubt it would happen often at all... and it's harmless and goes away simple enough.
