Whats Revolutionary About iPhone 5?

Well I think I finally understand the Android user's frustration. You have all this horsepower. You have a quad core processor, 2 gigs of ram...blah blah.

And yet you still cannot get the same responsive, fluid experience the average iOS user gets with half the power.

Now I see. You're not angry towards Apple. You're mad at Android. I coulda had a V8! Doh!

Now that we have jb and project butter...iOS ha

There are no revolutionary things on Apple products after Steve Jobs... Just look at iPhone 5... Just a little bigger screen and little improvements. Tim Cook is sueing other companies like Samsung, Nokia, etc. to earn the money not by selling their products. Apple is now lacking ideas om their "i" devices. I honestly thing Samsung is a better company than Apple. Even though, Galaxy S 3 is better but people will buy iPhone5 anyway just because it's made by Apple. Peoples don't realize that Apple is not so revolutionary anymore.
No Steve Jobs=No Revolutions
I'm a proud user of Android and Samsung phone.:D

*sigh*

There wasn't anything revolutionary about all of the other iphones, just like there isn't anything revolutionary about any android phones. Steve Jobs has nothing to do with it.

I think from this intense discussion we can all come to a consensus that no one buys Symbian phones anymore. I think. :P

It's more fun to pick on BlackBerry. :)

There's nothing wrong with Apple. Engineering wise, it's the best hardware out... Price of $199 on 2 year contact is just fine. I just have a preference for Google software and customizable options n widgets.... which keeps me on Android.

I'm staking my honor on BB10 being a success. The BB10 touchscreen makes the iPhone 5 look downright ugly. Anyway, Apple themselves came back from much worse. I think all this doom and gloom is yet another case of the mainstream media shouting out crap about tech that they know nothing about.

When in the hell was I a jerk to anyone? Enlighten me. I've been completely civil this whole thread.

I thought Android already made the iPhone look ugly.

Hardware is personal preference. The closest any manufacturer has come to matching the feel of apple hardware is the OneX. The rest are mediocrely designed with subpar materials. As nice as the S3 can be to use, it's hardware cant even come close to the iPhone. (Or the OneX for that matter)

His Tapatalk signature says he's using a Verizon Galaxy S3. I don't think he's an apple fanboy as much as he is a know-it-all.

Have you noticed that even though Apple devices may feel "premium" they break and crack like cheap materials. Yes there are those $10 POS Android devices but if you're trying to do a direct comparison you would pick something in the same price range such as the One X, Razr HD, SGS3, etc. The Razr HD is made of stronger Gorilla Glass 2, kevlar back and metal sides and IMO thats much more premium feeling than just some off the shelf glass and aluminum. The One X goes through rigorous treatments that even involve being struck with thousands of volts of electricity just to get the finish perfectly right and then it goes back to gorilla glass and the aluminum on the One X wraps all the way around, making it feel stronger and more rigid. Then theres the SGS3, it may look plasticy and be made of a polycarbonate material but boy I have seen both people drop them and videos online of them being dragged behind cars on the cement with barely any scratches!
Does an iPhone of any model feel premium when its cracked into a million and one pieces?

The iphone has had gorilla glass since 2007. Apple was the company that asked Corning to bring the technology out of mothballs and into the smartphone market.

The rest of your post? Again, just your opinion. There are many, many people out there (including those that use android phones) that disagree.

IPhone build quality of what really sucks! They break so easily now.

Doesn't take much

Apple - overpriced and over hyped. I guess I'm not hip enough to be price gouged.

Hmmm.. 4S is now $99, and the 4 is free on contract.

A few months ago I would've said - see what u get for free with Android (mostly crap or formerly high end phones being discontinued).

Now,Verizon has a Galaxy 'stellar' with a dual core 1.2ghz and 4" display for free along with the iPhone 4, and the obligatory 2 crappy Androids (single core old tech, 320x480 etc).

The stellar isn't bad, but it's not a clear winner vs iPhone 4. 4G LTE, 4" 800x 480, 1.2Ghz dual core, all looks good. Then u see the 3.2 MP camera... Vs iPhone 4 3G, retina, and an excellent 5MP camera, not to mention the resale value is way high when u upgrade later. Then there's battery life - a sore spot for most Android phones.

At best it's kind of a toss up now.
