whats the difference between handcent and chompsms?

I wanted to know if there were any real difference between the two apps.Also i made the handcent my default but still receive notifications from the stock sms. Do I have to got into the stock and just uncheck notifications?

it wasn't playing nice with my N1. "Batch mode" is my
favorite feature to delete multiple threads.

I've never tried chompsms, although I should.

i myself prefer chompSMS don't know why or what makes me like it over handcent. Handcent is def more customizable but chomp does everything i need and i prefer it all personal preferance i guess

I've noticed, but haven't noticed... hope that makes
sense. Lol.

I may just try out ChompSMS to see the difference.
