That, and the fact that some screens weren't properly annealed (leading to spiderwebbing in the glass) are one of the two reasons that kept me from updating. I'll wait to see if the Note 9 is better. (You'd think that by now, Samsung would have learned to anneal their screens properly and to test them for proper annealing before putting the glass on the rest of the screen - but I guess it's cheaper to replace the screen on a few thousand phones than to do things right. And a lot of sheeple probably just put up with the tiny cracks because they've gotten used to badly made products [or aren't old enough to remember "pride of workmanship"].)This is why everyone in my family who has a note 8, and it is 6 of us, just want the next version to get ride of the stupid curved glass sides!!
(The other reason is the non-removable battery, and that may be a dying hope.)
