Vanilla is what should be on every phone.

Well I think when you buy a phone you should have the option of Vanilla or Blurred. If you buy a HTC Phone you should have the option of vanilla or sensed. Some people do like the HTC Sense.

I would love to see this as well. Unfortunately, I don't think our wishes will ever be granted. :(

HTC used to do that, in the Android 1.5 HTC Hero and Droid Eris. Option removed when they upgraded to 2.1.

I really wish more phone manufacturers would offer the pure Vanilla OS.Why not focus on the hardware and let Google focus on the OS and updates. But in the Android world we live in today I'll take HTC's Sense over MotoBlur and especially TouchWiz any day of the wek.

Vanilla Hands down!

since vanilla is winning we should submit this to google and as a notice to give us more vanilla os devices!

i would love this do it like only htc phones can download the sense launcher or only samsng can download the touchwiz launcher etc. Because this is the only area where adroid is not truely open because we can sideload apps root and everthing else but on many key devices we get no option for vanilla os and it sucks!!!!:'(

Is there one that makes it look like a BlackBerry?

Stock Vanilla for the win. I have been using Android for over a year (11 months with the droid and 4 months with the DInc) and although I like sense a lot, there are way too many downfalls with a skinned OS/UI. Yes, some skins give a few sick features in addition to what stock offers but at what cost. My Droid had updates within 3-4 months tops after they were released. HTC is probably the manufacturer that pushes the hardest to get updates out ASAP but it still does not beat the time it should take to get an official update for a vanilla android device.

Functionality wise, Vanilla is lacking on extra bonus features (ex. Pinch to zoom on home-screen, scrollable widgets, exchange (i think. I don't really know since I have never had to use it before, etc...). Some features that a skinned version of Android can be really important for users.

Than again you can always get a sense phone, root it and then throw on stock haha.

To each their own.
