What's your next phone after the V20?

Re: Current V20 owners and your future... what will you do next?

I'm looking forward to see what the V30 actually brings to the table. Once it's actually announced.
As of now, I'm 70/30 in favor of holding on to my V20. I wasn't a fan of the G6 design, and from the renders I've seen, it looks like the V30 is an updated G6. Physically at least...

But I'll wait until I hold one in my hand before passing any judgement. I will not preorder the V30 as I did with the V20.

I need to be blown away to upgrade. And a lateral upgrade won't cut it for me. When I see it and hold it in my hands at a T-Mobile location, is when I'll decide right there... if I'm going to "upgrade"

Re: Current V20 owners and your future... what will you do next?

Haha why did you order it so late? I bet the price was much better!
I need a new phone, since my MXPE is on its way out (battery not lasting, multiple random reboots, running hot). The V20 has all the features I want, and the price for a brand new unlocked device is great.

Sticking with my V20, and see what manufactures bring out next year. The removalable battery I sort of knew was going away, so that's one reason to hang on to the V20, but this move to tall skinny screens I just don't like them.

Holding on to V20. Removable battery is a must and second screen has been a real winner error for me.

Waiting for the shoe to drop

I don't have the money to upgrade phones willy-nilly so I'll be sticking with the V20 as long as it lasts in a reasonably usable state.

I will hold onto my G4 and V20 till they refuse to turn on and it will save me cash in the long run as well since removable batteries are a must for me.

The only way I will own a glass back phone is if my company spent their cash on it and can pay the cash when the battery goes to crap to either replace the battery or upgrade my phone.

Trading in the V20 and getting the Tmo REVVL. Gonna pay off the REVVL quickly so I can join the Tmo Jump On Demand so I can switch phones as I please.

V20 is a classic phone which has a great combi of features of the newer and older phones hence I will stick with it unless something revolutionary is released.

You'll love it. It's by far my favorite smartphone. Was thinking if you could open the MXPE and replace the battery, probably not worth it. Glad I own a phone with removable batteries again.

Funny how it's not even a year old, yet became an instant classic. Manufacturers should take notes.

I will be keeping my V20 until October 2018 when the contract runs out. It is everything that I ever wanted in a smartphone.

I probably should do the same thing.

I'd like to say V30, but if they take away too much and turn it into a glorified G6 I might have to pass.

Also interested in in the Huawei Mate 10. if it has everything the 9 did and better camera I will definitely jump on that. LG's skin vs Huawei is basically same thing with different icons and colors.

tin can and string this way I can stay up to date with patches and security, lol

Was going to be the V30 on release (my contract will be paid). If they sell the V30+ here, I may buy it.. But not as sold as before. Otherwise, I am not going with Samsung. Have to see what else comes out..

Im sticking with the V20 for a while nothing else out there gives me shivers down my leg except my beautiful baby and I am not dropping a grand or more for a stupid phone, really???

I'm mostly leaning towards keeping my v20. Having a nicer screen and better camera is tempting but i use the ir blaster daily and swap batteries at least once a day. I don't think i can justify losing those two features that greatly affect the way i use my phone for modest improvements elsewhere.

I spent 7 months with the s7 edge and i never did get used to having to plug my phone in. On top of that either due to software updates or battery degradation it went from 6hrs SOT to 4 in that time which made the fixed battery that much more painful.

I was interested in the Pixel 2 but no headphone jack = no buy.

Im interested in the V30 but the lack of software updates for the V20 really bummed me out.

Iphone = no head phone jack

I feel backed in to a corner and almost forced to get the Note 8.
