When open my lg tablet why does my internet browser appear instead of my desktop

When I open my tablet my browser immediately opens and appears on my screen. I have to close the browser to get to my desktop. How do stop this from occurring?

On my tablet, a Samsung, I found that I could get this to happen if I held down the 'Home button', instead of just pressing it to wake the tablet and go to the 'home screen' or 'desktop'. Maybe you are doing something similar? Download the user manual, and read it completely. Tablet, and phone, controls often have several functions for each button depending how you touch them. What you are experiencing may be normal.
