I've not heard squat about the availability of the new 7.7 tab -- anyone here when and where it's supposed to be available?

Samsung has just released the 7.7 in Hong Kong 4 days ago. I saw it and played with it for a bit, it looks good. But the rice is actually more than the 10.1 so I'm going to wait till the end of the month, I might just get this little beauty.

LOL.
Rice?
:D

I currently have the 8.9 LTE. I really want this now. I want that screen!

What did you think about the size? Do you think it's big enough to read sheet music clearly? That's what I'm using the 8.9 for most of the time. Or is it just a little bit bigger than 7 inches? I used to have the HTC Flyer and it was a bit hard to read at that size.

negrielectronics.com has them for $572.00 Wifi only which is kinda pricey and it does not have ICS. Other places I have seen this which will work with AT&T. I did hear this one was to be VZW 4g soon (mid year).

I got mine a week ago. Yes it was pricey at around $700 and yes it's a Getty import from Hong Kong (I spent the first ten minutes figuring out how to change the language from Chinese to English). But...the tablet is awesome and the screen is superb! Samsung are delaying this release to give the Note it's time in the spotlight. Personally I think the 7.7 is worth waiting for.

So I caved in and bought one on ebay last night and should have sometime tomorrow now watch Verizon release is soon.

Fear not, it doesn't look like the LTE model will be introduced anytime soon, if ever.

Well it's running good on AT&T's network not as fast as LTE but good enough since on mostly on Wifi. The 7.7 is the perfect size tablet IMO and I'm very happy I purchased it.

I'm seeing conflicting info on contract vs no contract. I saw one article that said you can buy it off contract for $699. All other articles seem to assume it's contract only.

I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

My buddy from Verizon told me last night they received a demo but he wasn't aware of any prices yet.
