Where is the Wifi Xoom at Best Buy?

Why have most of the other retail outlets Moto announced in the press release advertising or accepting pre-orders, but Best Buy has nothing? I would expect that Best Buy could move the most Xooms for Moto, but they are silent. Any one have insight?

I'm surprised to not see them release any information on it as well. But I do understand their reasoning behind not marketing it like they should. Their margins are higher by selling the 3g version as they get some money from Verizon,especially if they tie you into a contract. Also their marketing is decided in advance, and nobody was sure when moto was going to release the wifi xoom. I'm sure we will be hearing something soon, as best buy is where I plan to buy on day 1

I did just check the best buy website for the xoom and it does now state that the wifi version will be available 3/27

Generally true but Best Buy does not offer the Xoom on contract. You can only buy it at Best Buy for the $799 no-commitment price. At least that's how it is at all of my local Best Buys. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

On a side note, Sam's Club has yet to put anything on their site for the WiFi Xoom yet. Still only the Verizon model. I'm really hoping to walk into mine on Sunday and find it there.

Cool. Then I guess it might just depend on the area. Because my three local Best Buys all told me that they cannot sell it on contract.

I checked costco.com and they only have the wifi up for pre-order, I do see the 3g version at local costco store though. weird.
