where to find specific file

Hello everyone ,
it might sound like a very newbie question , but here I'm
I have an GPS app that once a while when i open it look for update , and update the map as well as the tracks , in other words it update some information into my phone to have a UpToDate gps app .

how can i do to find that freshly update / download data ?

any ideal ?

Is that extremely complicated?

App updates deal with the actual app files/database. You won't be able to find a discrete file that contains an update.
