Hello, I have a cruise video that has some English pop songs so I'm unable to upload it to YouTube because it is flagging as copyright.

The video is about 40 minutes long, what's a good website to upload it to so that I can share it with friends with audio?

please advise thx
Kris

Any site that allows you to post a video that contains material that's copyrighted by someone else is subject to a take-down notice (and that usually ends in one warning, then a ban if you do it again). Posting someone else's intellectual property without that person's written permission (in advance) is theft.

You can risk it, but read Minnesota Mom Hit With $1.5 Million Fine for Downloading 24 Songs - Amplifier. And that's just for downloading them, not for posting them anywhere. (And she isn't even the one who downloaded them.) Copyright law is taken very seriously, and "I didn't know" isn't a defense. Read 17 USC 106(6) then you'll know.

How copyrighted works are handled by YouTube varies. To start, nothing is automated out of the gate. That means someone has to flag it, which it's unlikely your own fans would. They do now have an automated scan function, but the copyright owner has to set that up.

For content that is violating the copyright, it can go a couple ways. It can be pulled from your channel, or the copyright owner can elect to allow their content to remain and monetize the video so they get a royalty from it. You as a regular viewer wouldn't notice because it looks the same as any other motorized video commercial.

Of course the system isn't prefect. There are ways to skirt the filters, but that sort of discussion isn't allowed on this site. If they are blocking your upload due to copyrighted content, then you'll either have to accept it (it doesn't matter that it's only one short bit), or re-edit the video to something acceptable.
