Verizon has no control over it. Google will push it when its ready.

I'm pretty sure Verizon has some say so with the patch since it is THEIR network. I bet there are a selection of engineers with the patch that are reviewing how it not only runs on the phone but impacts the network.
I would say Verizon and Google are eating their own dog food with the phone and future patches.
The only thing Verizon has any say over, and even then its still not approaching the level of any of their other phones, is the radios. That's it.
It's with everyone else's ICS upgrade.Anyone know what's going on with this?
use volume ace... i use it all the timeI would like a patch to separate the phone and notification sound, I leave my phone on 24/7 so I only what the phone to ring @ night not to hear all the other sounds set up for other stuff like email , FB, twit, etc. This is the 1 BIG thing I miss over my BB. or maybe some can help me a split it with an app or something.
One would presume then, that Verizon has a big say. I doubt Google sends out 4.3 if Verizon says the radios aren't ready yet.
So, in effect, it's really up to Verizon as to when the update is sent out. Radios are a gatekeeper item.
Samsung writes that code, not Verizon. Verizon's say is minimal.

Samsung has nothing to do with the software on the galaxy nexus. All software comes from google. What we are all unsure of is, if Verizon is going to have any hand in delaying updates.

Tried Audio Manager Pro and Simple Sound Profiles and several others and nothing works to separate the sounds. Hoping an update is in the works.Try downloading Simple Sound Profile from the market. Works well for me coming from a Blackberry.
