Have been reading much on the attempts to get my Sprint Optimus S™ phone "rooted" and get root permissions... did wind up at "oneclickroot" site and chatted with someone there, and if I buy one of their packages ($29.99 / $39.99), they can root my phone, but I INTEND on upgrading my SmartPhone next Month, so I did not see that as a good option at this point ...
what is confusing is that in the Settings -> About Phone, is the following, where is reads as follows:
Baseband Version
LS670MVJ_6150
Build number:
ZVJ.47856B46
Which one do I look to root, "MVJ", or "ZVJ"? Also it seems that many APPs what a utility called "su" (I use Linux for my computers, for over 5 years now, so I understand a lot of the Linux Stuff), but I can't find this "su" utility in Google Play.
Since this phone is about 4 years old (I bought it as a "refurbished" phone in June of this year, 2014), some of the links to other places outside this web site in one or more or more threads are not outdated.
