Which one too go for s10 or s10+

I went with reg s10. After using the Pixel 3 for a few months. The one handiness is just too good to give up.

I went with 10+ because it's bigger, has bigger battery and has the extra camera in the front. Of course I don't mind the bigger cut out in the front.

You can get one-handedness with a quick gesture, so...the S10+ is the best of both worlds.

You still will see the holes when you play games or watch videos. So far I have yet to see a way to "shorten" the screen below the hole punch, like LG does for their notch.

There is a way to do that in the settings to hide the punch hole I think I saw an article on AC

Absolutely, you can do that. No problem. It's right in settings. And you can do it on a per-app basis, if you want.

In fact, I saw someone do it with a youtube video.

in Dubai all the S10 pre-orders say out of stock since yesterday! The S10+ and S10e are still available though! They are selling the S10s like hotcakes!

Regular S10 for me. I like the ease and elegance of full-time one-handed use. I'm 6'1" with proportionate hands and currently use a Note9, so I'm not necessarily averse to big phones, but I prefer the form-factor of the S10.

If you're going to use a case as well, then I say getting the regular S10 is a no-brainer, but that's just me. A big phone and a case? It's just clumsy looking and feeling to me personally.

Ironically, if your hands are especially tiny then you'll be using two hands much of the time anyway, no matter which size you pick. So, the S10 Plus isn't a bad choice.

All-in-all, I see no need to use giant phones anymore with phones practically becoming all display and no bezel. We get more screen area in the smaller S10 than we used to with old Notes. It's the best of both worlds.

I've noticed that European and Middle Eastern markets both tend to prefer the aesthetics of the regular-sized variants. In fact, it tends to be the case in markets that care a little more about fashion. Bigger phones are often looked at as kinda goofy, especially in parts of Europe.

Asian markets are the kings of giant phones. The bigger, the better in many of those regions, especially southeast Asia.

I can't get past my analysis paralysis on this. Coming from an S8+. Do I want a bigger screen in the same sized body, or a similar screen in a smaller body? I want the bigger battery, but the smaller punch out. I come to a different conclusion every few hours.

You can solve the battery problem very easily, by carrying a power pack. You cannot solve the punch out problem in any way, shape, or form other than buying the unit with the smaller punch out.

If you buy the smaller body, that leaves money for a nice power pack that even has wireless charging.

I am similar (although I have pre-ordered the 10+)

I want the ceramic back
I prefer the smaller cut out. If the larger cut out meant proper face ID I’d be ok with it but cannot see the point tbh
I like the bigger screen
I would prefer the smaller footprint of the S10. I think the smaller bezels and front mounted FPS will make the larger plus model harder to use one-handed than the S9 plus. Looking at them both next to my Mate 20 pro though I cannot help but think that neither are the perfect size and the mate is.
I want the bigger battery too (who wouldn’t?)

Honestly so far it is the ceramic back that is the clincher for me, if it was available on the S10 I'd have probably gone for that.

These are good points. I'm not overly bothered by the punch outs, but it is a consideration. I think I'll stop by a store and hope they have demos to hold in hand.

My train of thought is quite similar to yours. The ceramic black is my favorite color, but I valued the size of the S10 more, plus I really like the prism white, so I went with the white S10. If the ceramic black were offered in the regular S10, I probably would have gotten that color. But I know I don't want the Plus, so I wasn't going to get it for a color.

I pre-ordered the S10+ unocked from Samsung. At almost 80 years of age my old eyes and unsteady hands need the larger display. Also, I use Bluetooth to stream from my phone to my hearing aids. That consumes a lot of battery, so I need the larger battery on the S10+.

It'll be the standard S10 for me. I prefer the form factor and the battery is fine for my usage. And I've got no selfie game.

I first ordered the S10+ but changed it today to the standard S10. I need something that will fit in the tiny pocket on my current wingsuit. Currently using an S8, but when I tested my Wife's S7 Edge (which is ~1.5mm narrower than the S10+) it was too tight. Going to miss that 4,100 mAh battery, but hope the S10 is an improvement over my S8.
