White/colored fuzz, then black screen--Galaxy S5. How can I fix this?

white/colored fuzz, then black screen--Galaxy S5

My screen started freezing off and on after I was using Messenger, internet, and phone at one time. Now, it shows a white screen with colored speckles, then black when I try and start it. I tried removing the battery, and it doesn't help. When I put Power or Home, once already on, it stays on a black screen. I can hear the phone start though when it is restarted after reinserting the battery. I heard my phone ring when I got a call as well.

Help!

Welcome to Android Central! Unfortunately, it sounds like the screen has failed. If it's still under warranty, contact Samsung for warranty repair. Otherwise, take it to a repair shop.
