Whitestone Dome another failure

I was using an Ott Lite overhead light just so I could see what I was doing.
I'm pretty sure this light was curing my glue while it was spreading, and I didn't have a clue. It might have some sort of UV properties to it.

That almost looks like you can do a CAT scan with that lamp. LOL

Waitaminute - didn't you also have issues last year with the Note 20 U and the glass? You don't think it was this lamp all along do you? It's kind of a nice lamp. haha

Its usually user error, like dome protector i get on perfect, film protector i struggle and always a bubble somewhere lol

My fingerprint sensor hasnt been near as good after the whitestone dome install and it was a perfect install. Might have to remove it. I've rescanned my fingers too.

Yep, had the same problem on the Note 20 Ultra glass and was using this same light. I've installed countless Whitestone Dome glass using this light and they came out perfect. After installing the 2nd S22 Ultra glass without this light, it came out perfect. I'm pretty sure this light was screwing with my glue as it was spreading.

Whitestone Dome takes forever. I ordered it last Thursday and I'm still waiting, lol. Because I'm impatient I ordered this just to get something, ya know, this month. Does anyone have any experience with this compared to Whitestone Dome?

I have same problem with Zagg Fusion protector. I don't trust face recognition but that works better.

I have the Whitestone installed on my S22U and I love it during the day. It was a successful install and I have sensitivity turned on but it mostly won't work in darker lighting conditions. I had the same issue with my S21U.

Maybe, it's my thumb.

Interesting. I wonder why the ultrasonic fp reader would be affected the amount of ambient light/time-of-day.

Just hit your thumb with a little "Nose Grease" and it will work perfect :-\

Never heard of that brand but the AmFilm version looks pretty interesting.

Just watched the video for that protector and nowhere do they show a cover for the earpiece/speaker area.

Be very careful and make sure you have tape over the earpiece area or you could ruin you phone.

Mine is finicky in dark lighting also. Face works well in all light though.

I got the haze on one side also and my FPS mostly stopped working after a few hours unless I wet my thumb. I ripped it off after a couple days because I just can't deal with that. I don't think I'm going to even try again with the second one. It's been three phones with the WSD and they have always behaved the same.
