Who doesn't have purple tint on the HTC One?

My first HTC one didn't have it. This replacement one does.

No tint here. But only because I've stopped using the camera. Phone is in perfect condition otherwise, so I don't wanna send it back only to get some refurb unit with some other worse problem.

Contact HTC, send the phone for repair. You get your own phone back repaired, they pay shipping both ways and it was total time of one week. Mine came back not only with the camer fixed, but the small gap I had between the metal and plastic were fixed too.

I do not have the pink/purple tint problem. My manufacturing date was September 2013, I believe.

My camera was working just fine, but then I noticed an increase in the purple tint a month ago. Around that time, I called HTC, and they suggested that I send it in, or alternatively, have my carrier do it for me. I then sat on my hands until about 10 days ago, when I called my carrier to confirm how much time I had left on my warranty; turns out it was only a few days. So I talked with them about options. If I sent in for repairs, and they couldn't repair, then by the time we figured that out, I'd be out of warranty, and no longer eligble for a swap. As much as I dislike the idea of a refurb, the CS rep talked me into it, stating that refurbs were basically pristine, and was either an essentially new unit, or one which had been completely gutted by the manufacturer (again, making it pretty much new). So I started that process.

Today, I got a voicemail telling me that the HTC Ones are on back-order, but if I want, I can take a Sony Experia ZL instead, or wait for the One. That was followed by an email, again saying no current ETA, and would I take an M8 instead. Tough choice...

I got it bad on mine. It's only noticeable on low light or dark pics. I use a DSLR camera so it doesn't bother me too much right now.

My camera use to look like yours with purple haze. Only way to fix it is to send it in have them replace camera module. No software update will fix a damaged camera sensor.

If you are still under warranty its free. I had that happen to me last October didn't send it in until January because I kept making excuses about why I couldn't be without a phone for 1 week.

Good luck

I have very bad purple tint, although it only happens when I take photos at night and of dark objects. Below are 2 photos taken a few seconds apart, under the same lighting condition. As you can see, the tint only appears for dark objects. I've had this problem since the first day, though it doesn't really bother me since I never take photos with my phone.

Have this issue with the HTC One M7. The HTC One M8 works fine. Looking for a cure for the M7 which was blessed with this after an Android Upgrade to Kit Kat

Yup. I have the dreaded tint. Also only in night or low light pictures. Pretty dissapointed. It didn't have it in the beginning.

I've changed the camera 4 times and every one has the tint from the start.
Maybe it's not only the camera, perhaps one of the other circuit boards is at fault?
Each one was a vd6869 cinesensor. I can't find an omnivision one.
With last one I also did the heatsink mod with copper tape and heat sink paste, but the tint is still there, but this is the best I've had it since it started.
Really disappointed because I bought it to video my band. It was perfect for months, but now ****e :-(IMAG0728.jpg

I've had my M7 for a year and a half now. It has really started going down hill with the tint to the point that I barely utilize the camera at all on it anymore. My wife has a Samsung Galaxy S5 that takes great pictures and I have my GoPro for outdoor shots so it doesn't bother me much.
