Who has not received a call from Radioshack confirming preorder?

Have you received your "Appointment" call from RS?

Hey Guys,

I have been perusing the site since the Evo was announced and like all of you, slowly driving myself crazy waiting for the Evo.

I wanted to know how many of you received a call from RS about your preorder and whether they "scheduled" you in for purchasing and activating your Evo.

I have yet to receive any confirmation from RS about scheduling an appointment on launch day, but I know I am guaranteed a phone since there are about 5 within 5-15mile distance from my house, and I preordered the day after RS started receiving preorders.

For RS employees, should I be worried if I have not received a call yet, or is there enough time between now and next friday?
 
I've heard about others getting appointment times for their Evos, but I haven't gotten a call from Radio Shack yet. I'm hoping that means they just don't have a lot of preorders, and so don't feel like they need to set up appointments...
 
I pre-ordered mine on the 21st. The guy who helped me out told me I was pre-order #8 at his store.

I have not yet received a call but I'm sure we will start getting them on Monday, or maybe even over the weekend.
 
I haven't gotten a phone call but I did set up an appointment time when I did my preorder. I'm not worried if they call me or not.
 
I just talked to the RadioShack where I preordered and one of the reps told me that they will begin calling either this weekend or early next week to set up appointment times.

He also told me that they are expecting the process to take 45 minutes to an hour because they will want to help us set up e-mail, facebook, etc. I told him that was ridiculous and I could do that on my own.

okay thats good, I guess if I dont hear from my RS by Wednesday, I will give them a call.

Yeah I completely agree, as soon as they say your phone is activated, I'm out the door (after paying of course). That would drive me insane if people ahead of me were getting their "phone set up".

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one not getting a phone call.
 
Haven't heard anything about appt. at my local RS at all ... nor did I hear anything about any calls, I did however speak to a girl I know who works there (she did my pre-order #4 on the list) and she said she would call me only if they got the EVO in earlier than expected, other wise she would see me first thing on the 4th with a bag and my name on it containing the EVO!
 
I just got my call today to confirm my appointment and they scheduled it earlier too! It was originally scheduled for 12pm but they are opening early (and they are in a mall) and now I can pick up my EVO at 9:15am!!! Wooo Whooo!!!!
 
just to share my experience, I ordered mine at got the appt time right there. They told me they would call me more as a reminder the night before just to confirm. Hth.
 
I called the Radioshack where I pre-ordered and the guy there told me that they would either call its customers later today or on monday. He said they didnt want to bother people on the weekend, so to not expect a call tomorrow or sunday If i dont receive the call today.
 
When I pre-ordered the Shack told me that they will call everyone on June 3 the day before and then he made the appointment.
 
I will be calling all of my customers on Monday to set the appointments up. I however, can not speak for the rest of the managers across the company.

I wouldn't be worried about it yet if you haven't gotten a call about it.
 
After people started saying they were getting appointments I called the store I preordered at and they said I didn't need an appointment. If I don't hear from them, I'll be calling or stopping by next week to make sure. Don't need it at 6:00am but would like to get it before their usual 9:00am open time.
 
I haven't received call yet but i called yesterday to confirm opening time of 6 am and he said they will be calling out Tues or Weds to confirm or change appointment time now that they now there opening at 6 ... My appointment is 6 AM!!!!
 
I was the second person to order from the Shack on 5/14. Interestingly the guy told me he'd heard that the total initial order for Evo's was seven million! Treat that with a large grain of salt but I think my chances of getting the Evo on 6/4 are pretty good.

The woman who helped me at Radio Shack said she could give me a call if I wanted it, but as I live just down the street I told her only to contact me if they don't come in or are delayed for some reason. She'd already set up the time/appointment when I pre-ordered.
