LAG machine with more storage. I traded mine away after 2 weeks.
That's why I'm rooting and flashing AOSP as soon as I get mine. Touchwiz is simply unacceptable!

I am holding out to see what the x phone is like and pricing. With the announcement how htc is leaving the one s out to dry for further updates it just shows once again they will not really work with updates and the htc one may suffer the same fate with getting 1 update than no more. The one may be a nicer phone according to the "tech crowd" because it is aluminum but I have had too many bad experiences with HTC so it is either the x phone or the s4 for me now.
I feel like by the time this phone comes out, the next hot new phone will be just on the horizon...anyone know what that will be? I know it will probably get announced the day after I buy my verizon htc one....
HTC will be updating the One S as long as it supports the One X. So it will see 4.2.2. Just updating you and letting you know! Good luck with whatever phone you end up getting!
As much as I wanted the HTC One, I could not wait any longer because my Thunderbolt was not working well. I've had the S4 for almost 2 weeks and I really do like it. I will have to see what HTC has available next time around.

Call me a conspiracist but it seems this delayed release and the Moto leaks are set up to help big red support its long term buddy Motorola.

There is some reason Verizon is delaying it thats for sure and its no their usual lie that they need to get it ready for their network. So far i can't get myself to pull the trigger on an S4. That cheap plastic, garish screen, Touchwiz, and poor quality are holding me back. I've come close but just haven't been able to stomach it.
It isn't that bad.

I have an S4 and it's actually quite good (screen, size, weight, build) . . . except for the touch wiz and general os freezing up problems which are a deal killer for me.
I agree with you Jeff43 Sense is way better than touch wiz!!!!I'm waiting it out, I just like the One better than the S4.
Plus, I find it funny that I'm lusting after a phone that's still on 4.1.2, while I've been on 4.2.2 for longer than I can remember on my rooted Galaxy Nexus.
Also, coming from pure Jelly Bean on a Google phone. with what little playing around I've done between the S4 and One, I just prefer Sense to Touch Wiz.
