Who is leaving the V for the LG Optimus Elite?

It sure doesn't appear to be all that much better than the v.

I want NFC bad, but I've got an attachment to my phone, so I'll continue to use it until it breaks.

It's a Slider with NFC and no keyboard. Big deal.

It may get a bit better battery life, but at what cost?

Near field communication.
You can touch your phone to a credit card terminal and it will pay through your phone instead of swiping a card.

It's still not common and there is nothing to say Virgin will even support it.

I'm hoping for a price drop on the triumph when the One V hits ....if I can get past all the negative bias towards the phone. I really do like the way it looks / feels but don't want to buy into a ton of problems.

I am liking the oneV as well. I'll probably wait until it's been on the market for a while before I jump. I like having root and a nice stable rom to depend on.

That would be my advice.
Odds are, a lot of Virgin Mobile devs will head for that, Ov and Triumph if it turns out to be decent and hackable.
