Who is upgrading to S24 Ultra?

Verizon is giving me $800 for my Note 2 that is in a drawer in my office and I don't have to add a new line.
It would have been $1,000 if I were on a more expensive plan.
Downside is I think I owe them any kids I have for the next 3 years (locked in for 36 months to get full trade value).
Reality is I don't upgrade often. I'm currently on the Note 10+ and get to keep it as backup.
Be sure to check your carrier for trades. Most are giving crazy values for most any phone in almost any condition.
I still have my Note 10 +. I will always keep that phone. That is still my favorite phone.

I was looking at doing the reverse. Just investigating it.
My guess is your line was used for a upgrade thru Verizon a couple years ago. Go to your account, to go manage devices and check the line you're trying to upgrade and see if there's a device payment agreement on it. If there is that's why.

I placed an order for the S24+ in Gray with $750 trade in for the S23 Ultra. I actually preferred the S23+ over the Ultra, but I noticed the difference in the displays. So I stuck with the S23 Ultra.

Which is an excellent phone. I'll see what the S24+ is like. If not satisfied, then u may return.

I currently have S23 Ultra. This is the 1st year that I have not swapped phones throughout the year. I have always done the fold, pixel to S series switch.

I'm intrigued by the potential S24 Ultra AI changes. Because it is more on the software side, won't most of the AI changes come to S23 Ultra.
If anything, I am interested in S24 plus.
From the revies I read, this AI is very unreliable for example the transcriptions are so wrong, not that I would've cared for it even if it was reliable. I won't be upgrading from my S23 Ultra

I upgraded I got S24ultra 512 gb in blue. I like the flat screen. It's working well for me. They need to fix vivid mode on display. But I got a good deal. So I went for it.

I wasn't going to and I know that all of the AI stuff will be coming to the S23 but I kind of want that flat screen. And let's face it, I'm a tech junky. I watch all of the reviews, tips and tricks, and even though the tell me every year that the phone I suddenly want is not much better or different than the one I have I find myself falling into the trap. This year, and someone was talking about deals above, I got each of my kids one, which I would never do before. Mostly because the cost would break me. But Big Red had this ridiculous deal and I had some old Sammys laying around so for about 10 bucks a month for the next 36 months I was able to get 2 S24 Ultras. I'm buying mine out right using Samsung's trade in deal with the incentives so I can get the Orange one. I look back and wonder if I should have gotten the branded one for $180 and selling a little bit of my soul but the Samsung cash will help me get some tech that I've been wanting from their catalogue. Plus given the age of my kids this will likely be the last device I buy them before they start buying their own and maybe us all having the same device will incentivize me to hold on to a device for more than a year. Maybe.

I'm not even all that interested in the AI stuff and won't likely use much of it beyond the photo editing stuff. And once Samsung starts charging for it I'll be glad I didn't buy into it. My children on the other hand are already hooked. They're sending me stuff all the time and I don't even get mine for another like two weeks.

What colours did you get your family?

Orange looks really nice. Hopefully yours will arrive sooner rather than later.

My oldest picked Grey and my youngest Yellow. Just before they arrived I watched a video from Flossy, who also picked the Yellow, and he was supper hyped on the color and accents. I have to say it is a nice looking color. The Grey is also not bad but I'm a bit pumped for the Orange. While it was the first one to be pushed to a later release date I've only seen one unboxing for it. It was pushed to March 8 then I checked back, like any expectant kid, and it was moved up to the 21st. Since then I've been checking not everyday, most days though, to see if it gets moved up again. If not it's only a week and some days away.

I debated about what colour to get too. I considered orange, but it was listed as backordered prior to release for March. I chose grey to get it sooner. Grey also is the only colour with a matching S Pen.

Yeah I'm a bit upset with the S-Pen colors. The Yellow one has a grey pen and I think the Orange one does too. Matching Pen color was why I got the exclusive color model S22. Truthfully they should all have some color variances or at least make the button a different color than the pen. Just my struggle to find the button on my S-Pen has made it a horrible experience. I'm hoping the brighter color makes finding it easier.

I guess I'm lucky with finding the S Pen port. I like to do some PenUp colouring at night and haven't had any trouble finding the S Pen port when I'm finished colouring.

Hahaha, I don't have issues finding its home, I can't find the button on the side of the pen. :ROFLMAO:

I like being able to copy text that isn't selectable normally but with the SPen if you hold the button and hover over the text, if a cursor appears you can select that text and do copy and paste. Most of the time you can long press on text but for times when you cannot this usually works if the text is text and not a photo of some kind or if the site or doc blocks normal copy and paste. You also have to use the button on the pen for some air gestures, which I don't use too much but would likely use more if I didn't struggle to find the button. With the lighter color in photos the button seems to be more visible. The black pen has a black button and the shadow around the button that might offer a clue to which side of the pen the button is on as well as it's location on the pen, half way up, closer to the bottom, like that, makes it difficult in dim or low light to find. IDK about you but I do a lot of stuff in the evenings, sitting in front of the TV with the lights out. So struggling to find the button just makes it a pain.

On a side note I use several Good Lock features including Pentastic. My S-Pen says, What can I do for you?, when I pull it out and, I'm home, when I put it away. I tried a custom icon too but they all get in the way when trying to write. Why make the default icons off to the side like a normal cursor but make the custom ones dead center? It covers your text as you write. SMH.

I've taken to keeping my thumb on the button when I'm using the pen. May not be a habit that is easy for everyone to get into or compatible with all hands, but it may be a habit that's worth getting into if you can.

Also, my pen cursor is a fairy, and it says "HEY!" when removed and "LISTEN!" when returned.
