Who's Getting Flip 5 ?

Update. I didn't think it would be available right away from my carrier (Xfinity Mobile), but it was, so I cancelled my Samsung order. I am getting the same phone (lavendar, 512 gbs), but, to get the great price with the trade in, I have to pay for it over 24 months instead of buying it outright, like I always did before. Sooo, I have to pay a whole 8 dollars and 33 cents each month ($200 in all) along with my phone bill, which will now be, in total, including all charges plus insurance plus the monthly charge for the new phone...$40.83. So, I'm happy.

So some retailers already have the Flip5 ?

I'm getting one... I've always loved the form factor just hate it the front screen... I think this flip will be a keeper

Happened to be on the Samsung site for Canada thought I would see how the price compares to the US prices and I do understand the difference the the exchange rates , what I noticed it says the Flip5 "SHIPS" Aug 4th . which seems true to form from shipping in the past ship on getting to buyer around Aug 7 and 8th .

$700 on a trade-in flip 3?! You can buy a 3rd-party refurb Z-flip3 from Amazon right now for $350. Double your money back on trade-in allowance sounds like a good deal to me!

I know! Isn't that crazy? And when I changed to get it with my carrier (Xfinity Mobile) the trade in value went to $800. I mean, ye gods! And my Flip 3 had only 128 gigs. Now, I'm getting the new, extremely improved Flip 5 with 512 gigs for 200 bucks? This purchase was a no brainer.

I opted to trade in my 23 Ultra for the silver model Flip 5 along with GW 6 Classic and Buds Pro 2. If the phone is interesting and cool, ill complete the trade.

Im just getting tired of regular bar phones. The Flip seems to he very interesting.

S23 Ultra for a Flip5? A serious downgrade All because you're getting bored of a phone? You'll quickly realize flip phones don't make it more fun.

Should have saved your S23 Ultra trade for the s24 as I'm sure the flip 5 will probably have horrible trade in deals unless its traded for anything other than another flip

Really lol. Youre not me and dont use phones the way i do. Dont care if its a downgrade or not. If its what I want and it works for me. I get it.

Furthermore i specifically said, if its not for me or i dont like it..then i will not complete the trade..and i said if "i" dont like like...not anyone else.

Furthermore Im sure this is similar to like how people switch back and forth from iphones to android devices. People say the iphones are a downgrade but yet here we are.

I gotta sorta agree with SwitchBoard. I had a Flip3, then did the trade for an S22 Ultra because I was a long-time Note user. While the cameras were amazing, I don't really take a lot of photos and found I rarely used the SPen. I carry my phone in front trouser pocket, so the large slab form factor was annoying. When the Flip4 came out, I went back to the foldable and have no regrets.

And with all the deals offered this week, I was able to trade to the Flip5 for a net payout of under $25, including tax. It's the solution that works for me, no matter whether others consider it a downgrade. Happy with my choice.

I went ahead and pre-ordered! It felt like it was a no-brainer since they are offering $900 for the Flip4 right now. It ended up costing me $44, not including tax! I seriously can not wait to see it in person. I got the cream color.

The Flip IS very interesting in some ways... it's a completely different experience from a bar phone as far as the folding and flex mode go. But otherwise the software experience is mostly like any other Samsung.

I think the biggest reason to get one though is because of the size... if you're really tired of carrying a big phone around and want something much more comfortable, then this is the phone for you. But you do have to be aware of it's weaknesses, and treat it differently than a bar phone. And even though you'll be able to do more on the small outer screen than previous Flips...if you want the normal big screen experience you'll still need to open it, most likely a lot.

For me I love the size of my Flip, it's getting harder to switch back to my P6Pro, it's so much more comfortable to carry.

But if you're just switching for a change, and not for the size difference, it might not be that much more exciting compared to your Ultra. The Fold might be the dramatic change you're looking for if you're bored with the Ultra ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

Trading my Flip 4 for the Flip 5 512gb in Mint Green. It's already on the way - should get it before 1030 tomorrow morning. Very excited. Will also be able to claim for the free Buds pro 2 from tomorrow. I haven't bought a pair of ear buds for years as I always get them free with my phone lol.

I may be a bit of a broken record, but it's such a shame they don't love us all like they do the US. My Flip 4 trades for £320 (they offer 420, but they will give 100 with no trade) and the base Flip 5 is £1050...

I know! I'm not happy about that too! But I got £430 for my flip 4 and I took out the 2 year Samsung care insurance. Plus I got an email saying if I order before the 31 July I get an extra £50 off! Total price is £642 for a phone with an internal memory bigger than any laptop I've ever had!
