Who's going to buy a Galaxy S5?

I probably won't. Don't like what Sammy's been doing lately
Moto was looking good, so we'll see how that goes as more time passes from when the deal was made

They had some Google influence in them. Now that they sold them expect the typical previous droid x style results lol

Woodside said that Google was purely a financial partner and that everything they were doing was all Moto. We can't know for sure, but I don't think they'll revert back to their old ways when they have already shown incredible work in the Moto X

I already put aside some of my Tax refund sooo........:D I'm already ready to pull the trigger!

The ONLY way I don't buy is.....

1. No sd card slot (I carry lots of movies and music)
2. No removable battery (due to non removable metal body)
3. Both

I will be making the jump from my S3 to the S5 if it looks like it is worth the switch. If not.....I may try the Note 3.

I plan on getting this phone. Currently on HTC EVO LTE and dying for a new phone. Seems like it will be between the S5 or the new LG on the way.

Won't be buying an S5.
My S4 is my first and last Samsung device unless they back away from this whole KNOX thing and locking down the phones worse than Apple.

As long as it's Android they can't lock it down more than Apple.

There is still a way past it

Don't you want to see what you think of it first?

That should be an indication of how some people feel about the Galaxy line of phones. They just....work....for some.....uhhh.....most....ummm, actually, millions of......ahh you get my point! :)

Well I really want to see what it is all about first especially since there might be 2 versions. We just changed around our mobile plan so i'll be able to upgrade early from my S4 to the S5 which is awesome.

More than likely though i'll be buying it

They would REALLY have to mess this phone up for me not to get it, lol! I'm pretty sure the S5 will be a signicant bump up from my S3! I think its safe to say that there will be many former S3 owners upgrading to the S5 as well.

the more I research, the more I'm leaning towards buying this phone. I still have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus! The battery life has become atrocious with it.

I would prefer there not be a physical home key though, as I've grown accustomed to the Nexus' layout. I'll also have to get used to the back key being on the right instead of left, but that's all part of a new phone.

You will learn it quickly. I have a s3. I like the home button. Would miss it if the s5 didn't have it

I'm going to have to see the build quality in person and read how TouchWiz affects this phone. If the coast is clear after that I may dip my toes.

They're probably going to keep that. You can always flash custom ROMs (Hopefully) and enable the nav bar/disable hardware keys :)

Well we have less than 2 weeks to go before the announcement then at least 2 months to go before we actually see any US carrier offering the S5 so we have time to contemplate what will be. The blogging idiots who spouting off about the lack of a 2k screen as an issue need to get a clue and a life. We do not need a 2k display on a 5.xx inch phone it only sucks the battery faster and its just not that important. CrApple gets away with a screen that is far below HD resolution and no one bashes that.

Lots of people here bash Apple and even in the press they get pimp-slapped sometimes. ...and if they don't offer a larger screen option when the 6 drops many folks are gonna unleash the Exorcist upon them.
