I made a switch from Mate 20 pro to s10 plus 512gb black ceramic one. In my 3 months with
Mate 20 pro it never crashed or faced any stutter. Havent faced any with s10 plus in a month too. I dont see reason enough for switching back to Huawei p30 pro. Here some pointers of my experience.

For s10plus
1. Better sound
2. Selfie camera which I happen to use a lot is better. For me main shooter is awesome too it clicks Instagram ready pics.
3. Headphone Jack till its reqd ... like some friends car or some party where you want song to be played from your phone
4. Design:- it's better looking than mate to me. I dont like radiant colors much. More of a single color guy
5. Display:- Its good on both till I noticed a very slight green tint on side. It wasn't that my phone had faulty screen. Just slight shift which I don't see here.

6. It doesnt close applications in back like crazy.
7. One UI is way better.

For Mate 20 pro:-

1. Super fast charging. Nothing beats it.
2. Battery life is awesome. Partially battery size and crazy ram management which won't let anything open in back.
3. Macro shots are way better. Night ****s are better too.
4. No accidental touches for me.
5. Felt more comfortable in hand.

I am.

No just kidding. I may be an ADDICT but even I can't do it. I love my (girl's) S10. I can't wait for my S10+ 512GB Ceramic White!

Like I said in the other thread what SAMSUNG did with this Punch Hole display is amazing. I love my 3.5mm headphone jack and microSD.

Im saying its the lens because i used to be a photographer... And that's how it works for DSLRs. Maybe Huawei can fix it through software to compensate for the yellow tint but it would make the photo quite wierd as the colors wouldn't be real.

Oh ok I see , thought it was a camera issue not software.

Played with a p30 pro extensively today and have come to the conclusion that the cameras on the S10+ are much better than the P30's in halfway decent light. The Huawei is probably better in low light but the build is worse, the screen is worse, the fingerprint reader is worse etc. I actually went in to return my S10+ and exchange it for a Nokia Preview or (I'm sorry to admit) an iPhone X. I did exchange it - for an S10+ white ceramic :)

In what way is the build worse, please?

Till now for me iPhone had the best quality but only with s10 I think any android phone comes close to that build quality. I dont have p30 but when compared to mate 20 pro, I can easily say s10 feels, looks better build & weight distribution is better. When you compare it to ceramic version, I personally think it lags behind quite a bit.

It just feels flimsy, the back cover feels hollow, the frame seems thin and frail. If you've owned a mate 20 pro before, you'll know what I mean. Lots of people, myself included, have experienced frame separation and gaps after a while and the P30 at least looks like it'll have the same issues.

Another knock out criterium is that there are virtually no accessories for it - eg good luck finding a screen protector for it that works with the (outdated) in-display fingerprint reader

Very disappointing. Thanks.

I still have both for now and while the ceramic 10+ does feel nicer I would not describe the P30 pro as badly built at all.

Screen is much better on the 10+, camera and battery life is better on the P30 pro, most other stuff is probably personal preference. The P30 is slightly narrower which should make it slightly easier to one-hand but I find the flat bottom has squarer edges that are slightly uncomfortable on my bottom finger when I use one-handed so for me ergonomics go to Samsung. 3rd party launcher levels some of the playing field for the UI but OneUI maybe has the edge over EMU but then I like gestures a lot but hate Samsung's and Huawei's are pretty good, I am using Fluid NG on my S10+.

I still cannot decide which one to keep! Every time I think I have settled on the S10+ I think of that camera on the Huawei but overall the Samsung feels just a little more polished maybe so I am leaning that way.

I had both S10+ and P30 pro. I had the option to return both phones. I did a side by side camera comparison (like how youtubers do). I feel that S10+ takes better pictures during daytime. Huawei was good at night until i installed Gcam on my S10+. It doesn't make s10+ pictures better than P30 pro at night, but really comparable. P30 pro had better battery life. It was a very difficult decision till then but I decided to return my S10+, did a reset, packed it. As soon as i stepped out in daylight and was retrieving my Samsung eReciept on gmail, i could see the P30 pro horrible 1080p screen. I realized that it is the worst of the FHD+ screens on the market for a $1000 phone. And i made the final decision, returned P30 pro. I am really happy, wouldn't have been able to glare at the horrible screen till i switch again.

"the worst of all the FHD+ screens on the market". Now we know you're just talking rubbish. It maybe only 1080p but it's still really good for that resolution. Plus it's a Samsung panel too

I have both phones and the only things I find better on the P30 Pro is nightmode, zoom and batterylife. Daylight pictures are better on the S10+ with better contrast and colors, P30 Pros pictures looks often dull and the phone struggles with focus on close up subjects.

I also hear the great battery life in the p30 is because ram managment is very aggressive dont let things stay open , is that true?

You can manage how different apps launc and run on the device. When manage automatically is enabled, some apps launches will be prevented based on scenario to save battery power.

Gotcha, do you see any issues with the way they do it? Apps dont stay in ram long ?

I have not experienced any problems myself but some users complain about problems with recieving notification and such. Huawei tends to override how a user set up his phone.
