Why am I getting a pop-up telling me to Use a login to open when I choose a hyperlink?

A

AC Question

When I click on a hyperlink in my Gmail, I get the message to Use a Login. However I do not get this pop up when choosing a hyperlink from my Yahoo Mail or Microsoft Exchange Mail. Why is this happening and how do I resolve it? I am using a Samsung S5 if that matters.

My wife is having the same problem on her Note 4 whenever she clicks on any hyperlink in email or facebook. Just a simple "Use a Login to Open" popup at the bottom of the screen. These links work fine on my Note 4 so it must be an issue specific to her phone. We have tried powering her phone off and back on with the same result.

I have the same problem, when I am trying to follow some links. Also when I press a bookmark on the screen. [I'd like to attach a screenshot to this post, but I don't get the paperclip]

I fixed the "Use a Login to open" pop-up when following a link on my Android phone, by going to Settings > Apps > Default Apps > Browser App, and changing it from Chrome to Firefox.

Slet chrome browser - og installer f.eks. samsung browswr istedet. så virker det... Nemt ikke

From Google Translate: "Delete chrome browser - and install e.g. samsung browswr instead. then it works ... Not easy"
