Why are there pictures on my gallery from 1992 when I know i didnt take them.

I found some pictures that date back to 1992 on my phone even though I was born in the 2000's. They were weird pics too. One was the anatomy of an ant. Some were old looking games. Some were weird structures and some were weird bugs and creatures. Now mind that these came up after my phone got fixed because I had got my sim card stuck inside so they had to take my phone apart and put it back together but even so these pictures shouldn't be showing up.

Where are those pictures in the file structure of the phone? Are they in/from the phone's camera or are they as from file transfers, downloads or internet browsing?

Welcome to Android Central! Select any of those images in your gallery, then look at the Details or Info. What directory are they located in? spARTacus is on the right track -- they're most likely cached images from an app you use. Many app developers don't understand (or don't care) how to make sure cached images don't show up in your Gallery app.
