Why can't I find my Galaxy Tab 3 on my pc?

i can't find my galaxy tab 3 on my pc.

i have Samsung galaxy tab 3 and trying to connect to my win 8.1 pc .
pc doesn't recognize tab. and i don't see it in my computer .
i never had this issue with win 7 only with win 8.1

Welcome to the forums. Have you installed the updated Samsung drivers for the PC?

yes i have from samsun usb drivers

As I recall, Windows 8 had issues with non MS drivers. I will try to remember to look for more info later.

You can try looking in Device Manager to see if there is an issue. Or, it might be an issue with the Driver Signatures.

You can disable the signature enforcement.

If you go into the Device Manager (just open the start menu and look for Device Manager)

If you connect the device, it should show up somewhere in that device list.... specifically as an unknown device. Does that happen?

Run Kies 2.6.4.xxxxx
Win10 be sure to allow devices access.
Connect a IoT snyc cable from the Tab 3 to the USB on the computer.

Kies will sync and transfer files.
or you can use Win10 to browse the Tab 3 and drag and drop or copy-n-paste files either direction.

I'm not sure if you noticed this thread from 2015 kies has been discontinued for Smart switch a long time ago.
