Why can't I run applications from the SD card?

Can´t run aplications from SD card

Hi guys,

I have just updated my I9505 from 4.4.2 to 5.0.1 lollipop. I had moved most of my aplications to SD card on 4.4.2. But when I updated, my phone doesn´t see them. There is just black icons. So i can´t run them, even when apps really are on SD card. But everything else works fine like music, pictures.. Any ideas how to solve this? Or do i need root and some special aplication to solve this? Thanks for any ideas. Sorry for bad english.

Such a thing would happen to me if i turned on the phone without the SD card. The apps in the SD card were all greyed out. Did you already try turning the phone off, removing the SD card, putting it again and turning on?

Also, are the applications still listed as "installed" in google play?
You could try uninstalling just one of the applications and installing it again, then move to SD Card and check out how it behaves.
