Why can't I send any texts after switching my sim card?!?

[Android Central Question]

Okay soo first of all, I have service thru metro pcs with two lines on my account. My main phone completely shattered and so I decided to just put my sim card in the other phone that's linked to my account. I'm pretty sure most of everything transferred, however I can't seem to send any text msgs... Perhaps it's an easy fix right under my nose, or maybe it's more of a complicated issue..? Hell idk. But I desperately need my phone to be working and I'm almost frustrated to the point that this new phone's going to end up just like the other one, broken... Somebody help me, PLZZZ?!!?

Welcome to Android Central! You have two separate lines (i.e., two different phone numbers) on your account, or do you mean that you have two different phones that you swap one SIM between?

Is it just that you're unable to send/receive MMS (picture texts or group texts)? Or are you even unable to send simple texts to individuals, without photos attached?
