Why do I get asked to Choose Input method when I type something in any messaging app?

"Choose Input method" notification in the panel

Hello everyone,

Hope you all are doing well.

I have a small query where whenever i type something in any messaging app, the notification panel shows "Choose Input Method (HTC Sense Input - HTC sense Input)"

This is really distracting and i want to know how to disable the NOTIFICATION. I already selected the appropriate option but still it shows.

I believe it'll only show up if there is more than one keyboard downloaded on the device. Are there any extra keyboards you don't use? If it's still there, you should be able to go to Settings > Apps and search for the keyboard. There you will be able to uncheck the 'Show Notifications' option.

Thanks p3ntyne for your quick reply.

I bought this new phone around 1 month back and i didn't download any keyboards.However when clicked on that Notification, i get 2 options "Google Voice Typing" and "HTC Sense Input".

I have already selected the latter many time still the problem persists. How can i disable this notification?
