Why do I get the message Unfortunately email has stopped.?

Unfortunately email has stopped.

I have a LG done and recently my email hasn't been working. Am error messages just continues to pop up and says unfortunately email has stopped. I don't know what to do to fix it. I tried to force stop it but that option isn't available. The only thing I can do is clear the cache. What do I do???? HELP

A Cache Clear is exactly what may help, so proceed with that.
