why do people say tmobile is cheaper?

3 smartphones on Tmobile (1 unlimited, other 2 on 5 gig plans that have speeds reduced after 5GB, so still technically unlimited), $160 a month.

$50 savings a month or $600 a year.

Now, T-mobile does not have the best coverage area, but for the areas I'm in, they have identical coverage to VZW. Is T-mobile a good choice for you? The answer depends on where you live.

I think it's only fairly recent that Verizon has dropped their pricing.
T-Mobile's pricing may have had a bearing on that.

I'd much rather have the unlimited on Verizon

Yeah, I couldn't get 4g on T-Mobile out at my house. Otherwise I'd would have went with their unlimited data plan.

TMO continues to show why it is making such a push in the marketplace.

Their new North America plan includes free 2gb data (as opposed to free 1gb in the old plan). AND it now entitles you to high speed 4g in Mexico and Canada as well when roaming. It keeps the prior international roaming features allowing any data used to count against your normal data plan rather than being charged at a premium. It keeps the hotspot access. It keeps the Music Freedom plan, allowing streaming of many popular services WITHOUT a charge for data. AND it adds the Binge Watching feature, allowing video streaming (like the music freedom counterpart) from many popular services including Netflix WITHOUT it counting against your data plan! That's a big wow!

That last, with the addition of another gb as part of the free data now included, should really make it possible for a lot of people not to incur extra charges for data, beyond what is included free. I know I dropped my extra $10 a month data plan. The new free 2gb is sufficient, whereas the old free limit of 1gb was not.

Add music freedom and binge watching and you a tremendous amount of data power for their basic $50 a month plan.

Bottom line T-Mobile doesn't claim to be cheaper. T Mobile offers much more value for your money. No overages free Wi-Fi calling free in-flight texting free music streaming free international texting free to use your phone in 140 plus Countries Canada Mexico completely free no upgrade fees. Free in-house cell spot router or signal booster. and the newest uncarrier move binge on!!!! What about jump and jump on demand you can upgrade your phone 3 times a year for the price of absolutely free!!!! And to talk about discounts if you have a business account you get much more much more benefits and then there is business family discounts... oh and did I forget to mention the speed of the LTE? I'm here in New York and I'm getting 86 megabits per second... let's see Verizon or AT&T come anywhere near this....

The biggest reason why TMO is cheaper for me is BYOD. I bought 3 new phones for about $500 total, and my payment is $108 with tax. With VZW, 2 of the 3 lines on contract, the payment was $210. You add roughly $75 for 3 phone payments on TMO, that bill rises closer to VZW. With VZW's added coverage in my area, I would stick with VZW. However, with the BYOD benefit, TMO has made it easier for me to save monthly. Try getting 3 new phones (that everyone in your family likes) on VZW for $500 total. Doubt you can.

I recently switched my plan and added 2 more lines of service. I selected the new simple choice amped plan family unlimited +4th line free plan. That's 4 unlimited data lines for 180.00. I was then able to reuse(wasn't applicable with my 2 for 100.00)my old. corporate discount of 15% which is - 27.00. Thats 153.00 for 4 unlimited data line and also got our Hotspot allotment bumped up to 14GB per line. Thats 56GB of Hotspot if my family ever needs it.
Sweet deal if anyone looking for 4 lines of service.

And the four lines 10GB data is $120. you get data stash with this plan. I don't think you can get four lines with that much data plus unused data rolling over for that price on any other carrier.

I have more data then I can ever use on my line alone.

That is a great deal too. For me I opted for unlimited data. And I am glad I did. My 2 daughters are up to 40 and 20GB respectively with a week left in our billing cycle. I myself is at 38GB and the Mrs. is at 11GB.We are easily over 10GB plus per month as a family. Also, we tether out laptops and tablets with the 14GB allotment when we are on the go. Either family plan have very good value. You can't go wrong

They may not have the best coverage compared to AT&T or even Verizon, but I'm happy with T-Mobile. I usually always get LTE in most places. Only a few select places I don't get service. And you can't beat their prices. I don't think anybody can. Sprint might say they are the better choice than everyone in terms of price, but look how crappy their service is.

Me and my wife are on the same plan with 2 lines Unlimited for 100.00 dollars. Best plan out there. Used to have their prepaid 30 dollar plan, but 100 minutes a month is just not enough.
