Why does my Galaxy Note Edge keep shutting down and going off on its own?

Once the battery level is below 80% my phone goes off and can only be switched on if I put it on charge

Welcome to the forums. Have you kept track of how long it takes to get there from 100%? Just wondering if your battery indicator is lying about the charge level. Also, you can set alarm/power off levels in Settings. Maybe check there to see what that is set on.

You gotta replace your battery. Try finding OEM replacement. It won't be easy especially using Ebay and Amazon as they carry a ton of fakes.

Yes, you really have to be careful. They will say they are OEM batteries but so many are not. One of my so called OEM batteries started to swell. I don't use my Note Edge anymore so it wasn't that big of a deal to me. Any batteries that you do find will be a few years old now at least since Samsung quit selling them a few years ago.
