why does the marshmallow update suck

My 6.0 experience has been nothing but pleasant. I really don't notice anything better, but it did fox the public wifi issues I had on 5.1. The 6 vs 4 tap security screen kinda sucks. This is on the verizon model.

First, I posted all my screen shots...not one bit of help other than the routine checks. These issues seem to be rooted deeper than the average tinkerer can figure out.

Second, if I pay for a product I expect it to work...especially an expensive flagship phone. There is a problem with Android and people are starting to get frustrated, why can we not come on here and vent? I'm glad your phone is working great...mine's not, in fact I'm praying for the boot loop issue to hit me. I use this phone mostly for my business...I don't give a hoot about social media time wasting apps and have none of it loaded onto my phone. If my phone doesn't work properly it affects my business.

Third, if enough people bring these issues to light then maybe they get noticed and a resolution is implemented. If you think people are going to sit around an not state any issues then you're wrong.

Fourth, people posting issues helps to determine trends, trends lead to analysis and solutions. The battery, wifi, and multiple gremlins are all trending...to me that denotes a pattern that can be isolated and worked on.

Last, it Nexus made a phone that wasn't a monstrosity I'd be all in. As it is I have my eyes on the S7 based on size as a signifcant factor. Maybe Nexus comes out with a smaller phone someday...I'll be all in, but I'm not holding my breath.

Then there's the dark side which I have no desire to jump to, but Google/manufactureres/carriers are pushing it IMO.

Hmm, all Nexus phones are a monstrosity? I guess the Nexus 5X isn't a real device?

I bet I could solve your battery drain issues via PM with specific screenshots being provided. But I don't believe you really want the help. You go to every thread about MM that you can find and all you post is how much you hate MM, that Android is trash, etc. That's not wanting help.

I never said people couldn't vent, I just said that's all people do. Do you think posting on here carries any weight? Why not vent to LG on Twitter, E-mail, their support pages, etc. Why not vent straight to Google? Why not vent straight to your carrier?

Its unfortunate that you are having issues on your business phone. If it's your livelihood why would you even risk it? There's a reason a lot of companies don't switch to the newest version of Windows right away and it isn't all about money.

- I need more storage capacity then the 5X offers.
- PMs won't help others which is what this forum is all about, I'm not alone with these issues but am vocal about it. Find where I said Android is trash, it needs help, something which Google itself is indirectly admitting with some of the potential N changes. I don't hate Android, I just want it to work better...BTW, I've never owned an iPhone but have tons of Apple computers/pads/routers/etc around the house...they work nicely.
- I would hope posting here get some sort of recognition, the industry would be negligent in at least not checking in to see what people worldwide are talking about. It's called market research and it's alive and well.
- As far as risking my business, I'm not. MM has however changed the way I use the phone during my workday to the worse. I tried to block it but some of the suggestions posted here did not work. I will research better for the next update if I make it that far.

This could have been my exact reply.

As far as nexus goes... I tried the nexus 6p. Great phone. Ran like a dream. Couldn't stand felling like I had a brick in my pocket. Thats my whole point about the Chromebooks. I can grab a Chromebook from any manufacturer and it runs exactly the same as all the others. Why can't I get the nexus software experience on my G4? How did chrome OS get it so right while Android got it so very wrong.

Disaster? Really? Why? Because on an internet forum there are people complaining about stuff not working correctly?

I have 3 G4's on my account, all running MM, all getting the same battery life as lollipop. None of them are on the internet complaining. Why? Because there's nothing wrong. When T-Mobile drops MM for my V10, I'll update as soon as I get notified. I'm not worried about it.

So much complaining about to many hands in the cookie jar... Google, manufacturers, carriers. Well if you want the pure Android experience, get a Nexus, where only Google touches it. Situation solved.

There are countless threads about this topic all over the G4 forum that need to be merged. Why? Because nobody wants help diagnosing what is running rogue, they just want to post and complain.

Apparently you're outnumbered. More people on this forum report issues than not. It was rather entertaining however reading the anger and perturbed tone of your reply :)

Outnumbered on an internet forum because my phones work perfectly? Shocking. You mean the internet is a place where people complain? OMG. I can't believe it.

I'm glad you were entertained but I was neither angry or perturbed during that post. Quite frankly other people having issues with their phone doesn't effect my life one bit. All 5 phones on my account run great and that's all that matters.

This is where we differ, I'd like this update to work well for all people, it indicates a well thought out and tested system that make switching carriers/manufacturers/phones seamless...but it's not.

So the Nexus 6P ran like a dream but Android got it so wrong? Interesting.

Google provides a pure Android experience on Nexus devices. The number of devices are limited just like what Apple does.

I'd argue that your 5 phones working being all that matters is wrong, rather, the Android user, on all carriers, should have a flawless OS.

Tremendous money is invested before releasing an update. Engineers don't come cheaply. Nor do high-end phones and plans. The MOE or "six Sigma" success should, in theory, be a 99.9997% success rate. That's Toyota logic and Lean Six Sigma logic as well.

Why would my 5 phones working perfectly being the only thing that matters be wrong? It's all that effects my life.

I've done plenty on this forum to help people diagnose issues with their phones.

Some people post screen shots. Those are the people that want help. Others go to every thread they can and say how bad MM or the G4 is. Those people don't want help, they just want to complain.

Having it work for all people is a statistical impossibility. iOS doesn't work for all people. Windows doesn't work for all people.

Interesting since my house full of Apple devices have been pretty much flawless for all the years I've been a customer. Now I know nothing is perfect, but this ain't even close.

When I was in corporate I worked for a manufacturer that produced jet engines, I agree and yes...you can get it perfect if you want. I can't recall a plane incident that ever happened as a result of failure of one of their engines.

One- not every operating system is perfect... It's a preference.

Two- this sort of thing happened with my s5 and lollipop last year. It was found out that carrier bloatware caused the issue and they sent out new units.

And three what are Apple Fanpeople doing in an Android forum!?

Clearly you haven't googled issues related to iOS. It certainly is not without its own issues:

And since you have a house full of Apple products that work perfectly I'm sure to will be rushing right over to the various Apple forums to help out?

I'm an aerospace engineer. Now you see where my madness comes from LOL. Six Sigma is huge in Aerospace.
