Why doesn't the create date correspond to the date in details? There is a 5 hour difference.

Android Central Question

I loaded my Mp4 video files into getmymetadata [dot] com and there is a 5 hour difference between the details date and the create date in the metadata. Anyone know why? The photos don't have this difference.

Ok, so Central Standard Time is 6 hours behind UTC. The 5 hour differential you're seeing might still have to do with the end of Daylight Savings Time?

EDIT: Actually, looking back at your screenshots, there is a 6 hour differential that's reported (at least from Windows File Explorer), which makes sense. Not sure why the phone is saying 5 hours -- again, probably something to do with DST.

Great! So now I know why there is a time differential. You really helped me on this. Thank you so much.

Does the get-metadata.com provide more information that would be useful in determining video manipulation than the windows file manager? There seems to be a lot more information on the get-metadata.com than on windows file manager.

Edit: How do I save this thread to PDF?

It does seem like there's a ton of info there that can help to authenticate. There might be other EXIF (metadata) readers that include all of those details -- I would imagine standard file explorers like Windows File Explorer only show the basic info that most people are interested in.

Here's how to convert a webpage to PDF on Chrome (on your computer): https://www.wikihow.com/Save-a-Web-Page-as-a-PDF-in-Google-Chrome
