Why don't I have any choice in lock screen wallpaper besides the default ones on my LG Tribute?

I have a LG Tribute and I'm struggling with a very small but frustrating problem.
I can't put my own lock screen wallpaper. Unlike my regular wallpaper, I don't get the choice of where I can get my pictures from like Zedge or my photos. Instead, I just get the choices of the defaults.

Note: For me to access my lock screen wallpaper, I have to go into settings > lock screen > wallpaper

Yeah what's the deal? I'm very much wishing I hadn't bought this phone. There is not enough memory to do anything, and it's more frustrating than useful with these little problems like the wallpaper for the lock screen.

I just bought this phone, and I totally agree with your opinions. It doesn't have enough internal memory, and some of the problems (like this lock screen pic issue) are just ridiculous. Soooooo I have an answer to this question. Go to the pic you want as your lock screen pic (I went through File Manager to get to my pics), and when you are on the pic... click on the three dots in the upper right hand part of the screen. Click on the set as... then select Lock screen wallpaper. Hope this works for you! DmP

I found a app that works for cutom backgrounds. There isnt much to choose from but it works

If you get Google Photos you can easily tap an image, tap the 3 dots in the top right, select "use as" then lock screen wallpaper. Easy peasy
