Or, better yet....transparent aluminum....
Is that worth something to ya, laddie?

I think something like the Note 4's kind of leatherback is kind of the perfect balance. In fact, some premium and special edition models of some phones(like the Huawei Mates, RIP or the Oneplus special editions have a leather back.) And now the Oppo Find X2 also has a leather back and many reviews seem happy or intrigued by it. Hopefully, if they go with more leatherback(or they could even go with like a carbon fiber-ish back like the Pocophone F1), they bring back the removable batteries.![]()
Look at my note 4 with that fake leather lol but liked it..needs a screen and batteryView attachment 317905
Little dusty but she's a keeper for my museumOof! That thing has seen better days![]()
I loved the fake leather on the BlackBerry Bold 9000 that I had back in 2009.
Me too. Very easy to grip. My N10+ is quite slippery naked. Can't use it without case.I loved the fake leather on the BlackBerry Bold 9000 that I had back in 2009.

Yes but they aren't great at drop protectionThat's why I like to use skins. No bulk like a case, but you get the extra grip.
You could get a curio cabinet for your phone timeline: https://www.clockway.com/mm5/mercha...D8Gua7RJ5sOpfvU7ZbkEDeTbulcU148AaAiFdEALw_wcBLittle dusty but she's a keeper for my museum![]()
I totally understand how you feel OP.I just noticed this yesterday when I took my cover off. Phone works fine.
Make cellphones out of stuff that don't break on the back.
Jeez.
WHY do people want these fragile backs?
Who buys a 1K phone because it has a sexy backside?
It's not a date.

The glass back on smartphones is probably the worst trend, right next to curved displays and lack of headphone jacks.
I'm typing this on my KEY2 that has a rubbery back but materials like this are virtually nowhere to be found.
Budget sub $300 phones can have plastic backs but then you lose out on features.
