Why is everyone dissing the pixel 6/6pro?

I don't play games either. The only time my P6P runs a bit warm is when I use the Pixel Stand G2 since my phone is on the November update and the fan doesn't run.

I can understand it getting little warm on wireless stand

The fan runs on the pixel stand gen 2 with the November update. My fans run on both of my gen 2 pixel stands and I'm on the November update.

I don't have any fan settings on the November update. I did with the December update.

Mine just has charging modes: quiet, optimized and max. The fan runs on slow at all times in quiet, changes fan speed accordingly on optimized and runs on max speed all the time on the max charging setting. Been like this on both stands since I got them. I've never had the December update either.

Those settings are not on my phone.

This is what I see. 2 new pixel stand gen 2 chargers on November update. You don't have these options?

Here's one of my main issues. My P6 Pro on the right is consistently way slower on data speeds than my iPhone 13 pro max. IMG_20220109_214557.jpg

And that right there is something that cannot be software updated. That is just the problem with the Samsung Modem Google decided to use it's performance is very very lacking

It's also in reality, my main issue which is affecting reception, and causing horrible Mobile Network Standby and Idle battery drains. If you visit the official Google Support Forum, there are many hundreds, if not thousands who are really agitated, frustrated and downright angry at Google, many of whom have phones that cannot connect... at all. Yes, there are folks here who have posted they have absolutely no problems, no issues with the new phones. If Google cannot either through updates, firmware and software, fix the problem, they should either refund, recall for those who want it, replace the modem with a Qualcomm one, along with supporting software or admit they cannot repair what they designed and manufactured. Heck, Samsung took a huge hit with the Note 7 battery debacle and mandatory recall, and they stepped up and took care of the matter, many were satisfied, some were not. However, Google has quietly sat on the sidelines and until only recently, said an update, which may or may not address the problem, is due towards the end of January. I would like to see them take care of the phones and repair and fix the issues, for those who have 'em.

From what I have read, google used the S5123 Exynos modem due to the Tensor being designed directly off the 2100 Eyxnos processor. Not a hardware designer, but from what I have read, might not be possible at this stage to integrate the 2100 with the X60 Qualcomm modem. So a recall to fix might be difficult, a recall for refund would be. Whether people like to admit it or not, the gold standard for modems for USA data traffic has been and still is (at time of typing this) the Qualcomm modems. Even Apple uses the X60.
For people living in areas surrounded by strong tower signals it might not be a big problem, for those without strong towers or a limited number of towers, it could be.
Hard to tell who and who does not have good data service as compare to the number of towers and/or towers that are strong. Not all towers are as efficient as all other towers.
I still hold hope for Google that they can actually fix the problems with a software update, and probably most of the bugs yes. But for many of us, the most important function of a phone is it is a phone.

If the carrier connection issues started with the December update then I doubt the modem is the problem. Especially when rolling back to the November update fixes the problem, or the now closed Carrier beta version (reportedly) fixed the problem as well.

I'm still on November so we'll see if the late January update fixes my slow data speeds
