Why is no file format option (jpg/raw) showing in LG G5 camera manual mode?

I take quite a few photos on my phone and often tweak them in photoshop etc, so I was hoping to try out the option to save photos in raw (dng) format on the G5. However, when I open my camera and set it to manual mode, no file format option is showing.

Every example or tutorial I've seen has a jpg icon which you tap to change the format - any ideas why this wouldn't be showing or how to fix it?

I see it top left where it says raw jpg, of I tap it the icon goes to jpg. I'll not sure if that's the same thing or if this helps any.

Yeah, that's what I was expecting to see - unfortunately it's not showing up for me and I've got no idea why!

Does it say anything else there? Does your viewfinder look like the rest of the above screenshot?

Got this when I clicked on the square that says jpg for the first time

Thanks for checking - appreciate it! Other than that my screen is exactly the same. The file format option is just missing and the other icons a bit more spaced out. So bizarre!

The camera has to be in manual mode to see the jpg/raw setting.

The phone saves both formats automatically on that setting. You can choose jpg or raw/jpg.

I just checked it to verify. So..

You get what you need. The raw data is there along with the processed data in the form of a jpg. I think it's a good way to do it. So.. If you mess up your raw data you still end up with a good pic no matter what.

Well I got my answer from LG Customer Service. The raw/jpg mode is only available for certain countries.
Not available in Central America at least.
