Why isn't Chromecast connecting to my tv?

[AC Question]

My Chromecast isn't connecting to my tv

I've plugged my chromecast back into my tv but its not finding anything all it's displaying is a black screen with the word Chromecast... at the bottom nothing else. Iv'e not used for a few month due to no internet connection, I now have internet up and running again by the same provider nithing has changed there but Chromecast doesn't want to work. Can any body help please?

Welcome to Android Central! Try a factory data reset of the Chromecast. Hold the Chromecast's button down for about 20 seconds until the solid light starts to flash. https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/3210071?hl=en

I have the exact same problem. It even connects to another TV without any problem, but my living room TV only show the word Chromecast for a few seconds then go blank, no signal. Light is still white on Chromecast. Tried factory reset with button and with software (on android). Still dows not work.

Does any have solution for this, it is the most common topic without any solution.

Restarting TV doesn't work...
Plugging CC after starting TV doesn't work....
Factory Reset doesn't work.....

Any help, solution would be appreciated. Thanks

It works on the other tvs without problems except my room tv and thats where the modem is.
